Its “up to” trade-in figures were conditional maximums, not guaranteed discounts. Samsung’s current U.S. promotions page lists 2026 offers, so check it for live deals rather than relying on 2024 prices.
What Samsung’s early Black Friday offers included
The figures below are the offers reported on November 11, 2024, for the U.S. market. They describe that dated article’s listings; they do not establish present-day prices, availability, or eligibility. Android Headlines’ 2024 deal roundup did not provide enough detail to treat the maximum trade-in values as standard discounts.

How to calculate the real price
Do not add every advertised maximum together. A useful calculation is:
Net cost = listed purchase price − confirmed instant discount − confirmed trade-in credit − eligible promotional credit.

Use the amount shown for your exact device and configuration at checkout, not the banner’s maximum. Trade-in estimates may depend on model, storage, condition and inspection; the offer can also be limited by qualifying purchase, sales channel, region and promotion dates. The 2024 roundup does not establish the full terms or whether its app incentives stacked with the listed offers.
For a clear comparison, record the full checkout total alongside each benefit. An instant discount reduces the purchase total directly; a trade-in estimate is contingent on the device you submit; and promotional credit may not be equivalent to cash or usable without restrictions. Do not compare monthly financing payments as if they were the total price.
Which offer made the most sense for which buyer?
For an owner of a recent Samsung flagship: Galaxy S24 Ultra
The reported $250 instant credit plus up to $750 in trade-in credit gave the S24 Ultra the largest combined phone incentive in the roundup. It was potentially compelling for someone trading in a recent, eligible phone that qualified for a high estimate. An older or damaged device could earn much less, so the headline maximum alone cannot establish the buyer’s net price.

For a buyer without a trade-in: Galaxy Ring
The reported $399 listing did not require a trade-in to be the stated product price, making it easier to evaluate without giving up another device. But the roundup does not establish the Ring’s current price, sizing process, phone compatibility, return treatment or the value it would add for a particular user. Check Samsung’s current product and purchase information before buying; the Samsung U.S. mobile shop is a starting point.

For buyers chasing the largest nominal savings: Fold6 or Tab S10 Ultra
The Fold6’s up-to-$1,200 trade-in offer and Tab S10 Ultra’s up-to-$1,000 offer were the roundup’s largest stated ceilings. A large ceiling is not proof of the lowest final price: compare the cash due after your actual trade-in with other sellers’ prices for the same model and configuration. For a foldable in particular, weigh repair exposure, durability and resale value against the benefit of its larger screen and folding design.

For a lower-friction accessory: Buds3 Pro
The reported $20 reduction was separate from the stated $100 instant trade-in credit, but the article did not confirm whether they could be combined. Confirm the qualifying trade-in and final total before treating the earbuds as a straightforward $120 saving.
Galaxy Ring or Galaxy Watch: choose by use
A Ring and a Watch are not interchangeable just because both can contribute to wellness tracking. A Watch is the more natural fit if you want a screen, visible notifications, on-wrist controls and interactive features. A Ring is for someone who prefers a discreet form factor and is interested in tracking without wearing a watch continuously. A person who already wears a Galaxy Watch may find the Ring redundant unless the combination of their health information is useful to them.

Samsung’s November 29, 2024 holiday announcement presented the Ring and Watch Ultra as complementary wellness devices and mentioned Samsung Health features such as Energy Score. That is historical product positioning, not proof of current compatibility details, feature availability or a current promotion. Before choosing the Ring, verify Samsung’s current guidance on phone compatibility, sizing, fit, charging and returns, especially if you need a particular feature or plan to wear it during sleep and exercise.
How to check a Samsung trade-in offer
- Open Samsung’s U.S. promotions and purchase pages and select the exact product, configuration and sales channel. The Samsung U.S. promotions page is the place to check current offers and terms.
- Enter the exact trade-in model and condition in the live estimate tool. Compare the displayed estimate with the price of buying without a trade-in.
- At checkout, confirm which credits are actually applied and whether app, account, trade-in and other promotions combine. The November 2024 roundup reported an extra 10% through the Shop Samsung App and an additional $50 for first-time app customers, but did not establish their exclusions, stacking rules or expiration dates.
- Compare the final price with retailer and carrier offers for the same model, storage, condition and warranty. Samsung direct may offer trade-in or app incentives, while another seller may have a lower outright price or different return and financing terms.
- Before sending an old device, back it up, remove accounts and device locks, then factory-reset it. Photograph its condition and record its serial number or IMEI; follow Samsung’s shipping instructions and retain the receipt and tracking details.
- Read the live terms for inspection, credit changes and returns. The preliminary estimate may change after inspection, and an order return can affect a promotional credit. Compare the convenience of trade-in with likely private-sale proceeds after fees, shipping, time and risk.
Are any of these 2024 deals live now?
Do not treat the listed 2024 offers as available today. Samsung’s U.S. promotions page, viewed in August 2026, listed a Q3 2026 One Samsung Buy More Save More promotion for qualifying purchases from July 9 through September 30, 2026. The page described prepaid Mastercard rewards from $100 for two qualifying products to $700 for six, subject to terms. That is a separate promotion and does not verify a live S24, Galaxy Ring or other 2024 Black Friday offer.

Samsung’s 2024 holiday announcement also described a 30% Samsung Care+ saving beginning November 21, 2024, for certain new Galaxy Watch, Ring or Buds purchases. That dated benefit should not be assumed to remain available. For a current purchase, verify eligible products, dates, inventory and the final checkout price on Samsung’s live pages; the historical roundup cannot establish whether S24 inventory today is new, refurbished, unlocked or the best value against newer models.
