Tom’s Guide reported higher U.S. prices for Galaxy S26 configurations in October 2026. Its figures show increases of $100 for the 256GB S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra, while the S26 Ultra 1TB rose by $200. The report said the S26 FE remained at its launch price.

9to5Google reported U.S. Galaxy A57, A37, A27, and A17 price increases ranging from $20 to $70, depending on configuration. The listed changes were:

An April 15, 2026 report by Tom’s Guide listed increases across 17 U.S. Galaxy Tab model-and-configuration combinations. The examples below show why checking storage matters: the reported dollar increases grew substantially on higher-capacity Tab S11 models.

The same April report also identified selected Galaxy Tab S10 FE, S10 FE+, S10 Lite, S10+, and Tab A11+ configurations, plus the Galaxy Z Flip 7 512GB, S25 Edge 512GB, and S25 FE 256GB. It did not provide those models’ figures in the examples summarized here. Tom’s Guide said Samsung had not issued a statement or information about the April increase. Read the report.
New Tab S12 launch prices are a separate comparison
Samsung Electronics America announced that the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Tab S12+ would be available in the U.S. beginning October 7, 2026, at launch prices of $1,399.99 and $1,199.99, respectively. These are prices for new models, not evidence that Samsung raised the price of an existing tablet. Samsung lists a 14.6-inch display for the Ultra and a 12.6-inch display for the S12+; both include an S Pen. The Pro Keyboard and Book Cover Keyboard Slim are sold separately. Why did Samsung raise the prices?
The reviewed reports do not establish a public Samsung explanation for all the U.S. increases. Memory and component costs are relevant industry context, but should not be treated as a confirmed Samsung rationale for each model or repricing.
For South Korea, The Asia Business Daily attributed October price changes and higher Tab S12 Ultra launch pricing to component-cost pressure. It cited TrendForce forecasts for Q4 2026 of 10–15% quarter-on-quarter growth in standard DRAM contract prices and 15–20% in NAND flash. Those are forecasts about the South Korean memory market, not U.S. Galaxy retail prices or a direct Samsung statement about the U.S. changes. The Asia Business Daily’s report.

How to check whether a Galaxy price really changed
Compare equivalent listings rather than relying on a headline price or a temporary sale. A sound comparison matches:
- Market and currency: U.S. dollar prices and South Korean won prices are separate schedules.
- Exact model and storage: a 1TB model is not a like-for-like comparison with a 256GB model.
- Timing: these reports describe separate April and October 2026 waves.
- Price type: distinguish a listed or launch price from a limited-time promotion. Samsung’s offers can have validity windows; an offer ending October 7, 2026, is not evidence of a continuing price. Check current terms on Samsung’s U.S. offers page.
Because the October U.S. changes were reported from retail listings rather than a Samsung U.S. price announcement, use the cited reports as attributed snapshots, not as a guarantee that every retailer currently displays the same price.
