The 49-inch Samsung Odyssey G9 G95C (model LS49CG954ENXZA) was reported at $664.99 on Amazon on June 15, 2026, a $335 reduction from the $999.99 reference price in that deal report. Mashable described it as the lowest price it had tracked for the G95C. That is a dated price record, not proof the offer is still available: check the current listing before buying. Mashable’s deal report and Samsung’s U.S. product page refer to the non-OLED G95C, not every 49-inch Odyssey G9.
What was the deal, and does the record-low claim hold up?
The documented offer was $664.99 for the G95C on Amazon on June 15, 2026, down from $999.99 in the deal report. The difference is $335, or about 34% of that stated reference price. It is not a 34% discount from Samsung’s $1,299.99 listed price, and those two reference prices should not be treated as interchangeable.
The evidence supports “lowest price tracked by Mashable” for this model—not an independently verified lowest price ever across all sellers and dates. A separate Amazon deal at $699.99 was reported in March 2026 and later expired; earlier coverage also reported $799.99 promotions. Those past offers help set context, but do not establish today’s checkout price. Technobezz’s March deal report documents the $699.99 offer and subsequent price change.
The available price reports do not confirm that $664.99 remains live on August 16, 2026. Search results and old deal pages can retain expired prices. Before treating it as a bargain, verify the cart price, stock, seller, shipping, condition, and any membership or coupon requirements.

Check the model number: “Odyssey G9” covers different monitors
The G95C is a conventional VA, non-OLED monitor. Samsung also sells OLED G9 models with different panel characteristics and pricing, as well as a newer 144Hz conventional model. A deal on one is not evidence of a record price on another.
| Model | Panel and refresh rate | Key distinction |
|---|---|---|
| G95C (LS49CG954ENXZA) | VA/non-OLED, 240Hz | 1000R curve; the model tied to the $664.99 report |
| G93SC (LS49CG932SNXZA) | QD-OLED, 240Hz | 1800R curve; OLED contrast and stated 0.03ms response time |
| G95SC | QD-OLED, 240Hz | OLED smart-monitor variant |
| G93SD (LS49DG934SNXGO) | OLED, 240Hz | Glare-free variant; the model in the cited $899.99 and $999.99 deal coverage |
| G91F (LS49FG910ENXZA) | VA/non-OLED, 144Hz | Newer, lower-refresh-rate alternative |
Samsung’s promotion terms list these identifiers separately, reinforcing that “G9” alone is not a precise model description. Samsung promotion terms.

What the G95C gives you
Samsung specifies a 49-inch, 32:9 display with 5,120 × 1,440 DQHD resolution, a 240Hz refresh rate, 1ms GtG response time, 1000R curvature, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, and DisplayHDR 1000 branding. At roughly the width of two 27-inch 16:9 monitors side by side, it offers a broad workspace without a center bezel. It is still one continuous screen, not two separately addressable monitors by default. Samsung’s G95C specifications.

The 1ms figure is Samsung’s GtG specification, and DisplayHDR 1000 is the monitor’s branding/specification; neither number alone guarantees a particular experience in every scene or game.
Before buying, check your setup and the listing
Make sure your PC can drive the display
Running 5,120 × 1,440 at high refresh rates demands substantially more graphics performance than standard 1440p. The panel’s 240Hz capability does not mean a given graphics card will render every game at 240 frames per second. Check the GPU, game settings, chosen connection, and the monitor’s model-specific port and cable requirements; DisplayPort is generally the safer connection to investigate for maximum PC refresh-rate compatibility.

Game support matters as much as raw performance. A title without proper 32:9 support may show black bars, stretch the image, or need community configuration changes. Check the games you actually play rather than assuming every title will fill the panel correctly.
Measure the desk and plan the installation
Samsung lists the G95C at approximately 45.2 inches wide with its stand. Measure usable desk width and depth, check that the screen edges will remain comfortable to view from your seated position, and account for the stand footprint. If using an arm, confirm its weight capacity, VESA compatibility, and ability to handle the leverage of an unusually wide display. Also consider the shipping box, doorway clearance, and the difficulty of returning a large curved monitor.
Inspect what the seller is actually offering
The $664.99 listing report said a DisplayPort cable was included but apparently not an HDMI cable; a cable bundle cost more. Contents can vary by listing, so verify the exact box contents rather than assuming accessories are included. Before checkout, also confirm:

OLED models are worth comparing if deep blacks, contrast, and pixel response matter more to you than the G95C’s lower price. The G93SD is specified at 5,120 × 1,440 and 240Hz, with a stated 0.03ms GtG response time; the G95C is a VA display with a stated 1ms GtG response time. Response-time claims across different panel technologies are not a complete, direct measure of overall motion performance.
OLED can be a less attractive fit if your monitor spends long days showing unchanged desktop windows, taskbars, or other static elements; consider the model’s warranty and usage guidance. OLED G9 variants also differ in finish and features, so compare the exact model rather than assuming every one is identical.
Price reports put the G93SD at $899.99 on Amazon on July 23, 2026, and at $999.99 at Best Buy in separate coverage. Those were dated offers on a different model, not current quotes or evidence about the G95C’s price. Mashable/Yahoo’s G93SD deal report; Tom’s Hardware’s Best Buy report. Best Buy lists the G93SD’s 240Hz and 0.03ms specifications on its product page.
How to judge the G95C price
- At or below $664.99: That matches or beats the documented June 2026 tracked low, provided the offer is for a new G95C from a seller with acceptable return and warranty terms.
- About $700–$800: This is below the $999.99 reference price in the deal report and within the range of earlier reported promotions, but it is not the documented $664.99 low.
- Near $900 or more: Reconsider whether the G95C is compelling at that price, especially when historical reports put a different OLED G9 around $899.99–$999.99. Compare exact model, condition, and current checkout terms rather than treating the OLED deal as directly equivalent.
These are comparison points based on dated reports, not predictions of future prices or guarantees of availability.
Quick Recap
Who should buy it—and who should pass?
The G95C makes sense if
- You want a broad gaming or productivity workspace and have room for a screen about 45 inches wide.
- You prefer a non-OLED panel for a desktop that often displays static content.
- Your PC and games can make practical use of the resolution and refresh rate.
- The verified price is near the documented low and the seller’s terms work for you.
Look elsewhere if
- Your desk is too small, or you want more vertical resolution than 1,440 pixels.
- You expect every game to support 32:9 or your GPU cannot deliver the performance you want.
- You need color-critical professional display performance, which the cited specifications do not establish.
- The G95C price approaches OLED G9 pricing and you would benefit more from OLED contrast—or you do not want OLED’s static-content considerations.
