Is the Galaxy S25 FE still $424.99?
Do not assume so. Deal-of-the-day pricing and color inventory can disappear after the promotion date. When checked on October 2, 2026, Samsung’s official U.S. product page listed the 128GB unlocked Galaxy S25 FE at $649.99; the same page showed 256GB at $749.99: Samsung Galaxy S25 FE. Samsung’s March 2026 MSRP file also lists $649.99 for the unlocked 128GB model: Samsung MSRP PDF.

Why $424.99 was compelling
- Large AMOLED screen: The 6.7-inch 120Hz panel is a strong fit for video, reading and gaming.
- More versatile cameras: A dedicated telephoto camera provides an optical-zoom option that many similarly priced phones omit.
- Samsung ecosystem: Buyers get Samsung’s software, account integration and Galaxy-specific features rather than a generic midrange experience.
- Wireless charging: 15W wireless charging remains uncommon among many phones competing near the midrange price band.
- Unlocked flexibility: An unlocked U.S. model can be used on compatible networks without tying the purchase to a carrier contract.
That combination made $424.99 an unusually attractive entry price for Samsung shoppers, without making the FE a full flagship. Network compatibility still depends on the exact model number and your carrier’s supported bands.
The compromises to weigh
Performance and memory
The Exynos 2400 may behave differently from Snapdragon-powered Galaxy models sold in other regions, particularly in sustained gaming, heat and battery efficiency. Eight gigabytes of RAM and 128GB of storage can also feel restrictive for heavy multitasking, large game libraries or several years of media storage.

Storage value
Samsung’s current listing places the 256GB model at $749.99, $100 above the listed 128GB price. If the gap at checkout is substantially smaller than that, the larger model is easier to justify for long-term use. If the phone is near $649.99, compare that upgrade cost with newer Samsung or discounted previous-generation flagships.
Size and accessories
The 6.7-inch format is not ideal for one-handed use. You will also need a compatible USB-C PD/PPS charger unless you already own one. Samsung’s 45W specification describes the phone’s capability, not an included accessory.
Rank #4
- 6.7‑inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X QHD+ display (3120 × 1440) with adaptive 1‑120 Hz refresh rate, HDR support, and up to ~2600 nits peak brightness — providing a large, sharp, and very bright screen.

How the price changes the decision
| Price level | How to think about it |
|---|---|
| $424.99 | Excellent value if the unit is new, unlocked, U.S.-compatible and sold by a reputable retailer. |
| About $450–$500 | Still potentially attractive, but compare storage, performance and support on competing phones. |
| About $550–$600 | The value advantage narrows; newer midrange phones and discounted prior flagships deserve a close look. |
| $649.99 | Samsung’s listed 128GB price. Do not treat it as an automatic bargain without comparing alternatives. |
Alternatives worth checking
OnePlus 13R
The deal coverage cited a historical Best Buy price of $549.99 for the 256GB OnePlus 13R, with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and 12GB of RAM: HotHardware comparison. Those specifications favor performance and storage. The Samsung is the better fit if you prioritize Galaxy software, Samsung’s camera processing, wireless charging or Samsung’s service ecosystem. The $549.99 OnePlus figure should be treated as historical unless rechecked.

Other Samsung and discounted flagships
If the S25 FE is close to MSRP, compare the 256GB FE, a newer Samsung A-series or FE model, and discounted previous-generation flagships. Do not choose solely by model name: compare storage, processor, camera hardware, warranty and the actual out-the-door price.
Checkout checklist
- Confirm the exact model number, U.S. origin, unlocked status and 128GB capacity.
- Verify that the condition is New and identify the seller.
- Read the final price for activation, trade-in, financing, membership or coupon requirements.
- Check your carrier’s supported bands and compatibility for that model.
- Confirm the return period, Samsung warranty eligibility and whether marketplace or open-box terms differ.
- Check the IMEI is clean and the phone is not activation-locked.
- Budget for a compatible USB-C PD/PPS charger if you do not already have one.
Verdict
At $424.99, the unlocked 128GB Galaxy S25 FE is a strong buy for shoppers who want Samsung software, a large 120Hz AMOLED display, wireless charging and a telephoto camera. At Samsung’s listed $649.99 price, the deal thesis largely disappears: compare the 256GB version and competing newer or discounted phones before buying. If Best Buy no longer offers the genuine new unlocked model at $424.99, do not chase the old price through an unfamiliar seller.
