TechRadar reported prices of $599.99 for the 128GB Galaxy S24, $749.99 for the 256GB Galaxy S24+ and $974.99 for the 256GB Galaxy S24 Ultra. Before buying, verify the current price, condition, seller, model and warranty because Amazon listings can change quickly.
The documented Galaxy S24 deal prices
TechRadar documented a promotion in which all three Galaxy S24 models reached the following prices:
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
| Phone | Storage | Historic price | Reference price | Discount |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Galaxy S24 | 128GB | $599.99 | $799.99 | $200 |
| Galaxy S24+ | 256GB | $749.99 | $999.99 | $250 |
| Galaxy S24 Ultra | 256GB | $974.99 | $1,299.99 | $325 |
TechRadar described these as record-low prices for the specific configurations. That does not mean every storage option, color or condition reached the same price.
These figures came from a promotion reported after an earlier Engadget deal report dated March 27, 2024. Engadget listed the 256GB Galaxy S24 Ultra at $1,149.99, down from $1,299.99, and the 256GB Galaxy S24+ at approximately $849.99, down from $999.99. Its available coverage does not establish a base Galaxy S24 price for that earlier promotion.

Are these prices still available?
There is no reliable evidence that the TechRadar prices are still live at Amazon as of August 2026. Amazon’s price, seller, inventory and condition fields are dynamic, and the available evidence does not confirm a current Buy Box price for these exact variants.
In other words, treat the figures above as historical benchmarks, not guaranteed checkout prices. A current listing may cost more, may be sold by a third party, or may be for a renewed or international phone rather than a new U.S. unlocked model.
The word “record” also needs context. It can mean the lowest price observed by a particular publication or tracker for one exact combination of model, storage, condition and seller. A renewed phone can sell for less than the lowest documented price for a new retail unit. For example, a price-history source recorded renewed, unlocked 256GB Galaxy S24 units around the low-$400 range in 2026, including a reported 90-day low of $383.06. That is not a like-for-like comparison with a new phone.

Which Galaxy S24 is the best value?
Galaxy S24: best for a compact phone
The standard Galaxy S24 is the smallest and lightest option, with a 6.2-inch display and the lowest entry price. The historic $599.99 deal applied to the 128GB version.

- International Model – Global Connectivity – Plug & Play with an active SIM on AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and most U.S. carriers. New activations are only supported on T-Mobile, AT&T & Verizon in the U.S., as some carriers may not recognize International IMEI's as Compatible. (No U.S. manufacturer warranty; Seller Return policy applies.)
Choose it if you want flagship performance in a relatively compact body and do not need extensive local storage. At a price near $700, however, its value becomes less compelling—particularly if a newer model is only modestly more expensive.
Galaxy S24+: best large-screen value
The Galaxy S24+ combines a larger display and battery with a lower price than the Ultra. The documented deal was for the 256GB model at $749.99, giving it substantially more storage than the base S24.
For most buyers who want a big Samsung phone but do not need the Ultra’s camera hardware or S Pen, the S24+ is the strongest value choice—provided the current price remains close to that historic benchmark.
Galaxy S24 Ultra: best for cameras and the S Pen
The S24 Ultra is the premium model. Samsung lists a 6.8-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy, a 200MP main camera, 12MP ultrawide camera, 50MP and 10MP telephoto cameras, a 5,000mAh battery and an integrated S Pen in its official S24 specifications.
Rank #3
- Galaxy S23 sports a 6.1-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X flat display with adaptive 48–120 Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and a peak brightness high enough for strong outdoor visibility — giving you vibrant, crisp visuals and smooth motion while staying compact.
It is the right choice for buyers who will use the zoom cameras, larger display or stylus. It is also heavier and more expensive than the S24 and S24+. Paying nearly $1,000 makes sense only if those features matter to you.
Why an S24 can still make sense in 2026
- Flagship hardware: The S24 generation still offers high-end performance, bright displays and capable cameras.
- Long stated support: Samsung announced seven years of operating-system and security updates for the S24 generation. Delivery timing can vary by model, carrier and region, and a long support promise does not guarantee that every future AI feature will work on every model.
- Lower launch-era pricing: A deep discount can turn a former flagship into a better value than a similarly priced midrange phone.
- Mature ecosystem: Accessories, cases and troubleshooting information are widely available.
Why you might skip it
The S24 is no longer Samsung’s current flagship generation. Samsung’s December 2025 U.S. MSRP document lists the unlocked Galaxy S24 128GB and 256GB models as EOL, with reference prices of $699.99 and $759.99. Those are manufacturer reference prices, not current Amazon prices, but the EOL designation supports treating the phones as old-stock or closeout inventory rather than current products.
Newer Galaxy models may offer better efficiency, cameras, modem performance or AI features. If the current S24 price is only slightly below a newer phone, the newer model may deliver better long-term value and resale prospects.
The base S24’s 128GB storage is another consideration. Photos, video, games and offline media can make that capacity restrictive over several years. The S24+ deal’s 256GB configuration is easier to recommend for long-term use.

- 6.8″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X QHD+ display with a 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh rate and up to ~2600 nits peak brightness — delivering a bright, sharp screen with smooth scrolling and great outdoor visibility.
Amazon checks to complete before buying
Do not rely on the product title alone. On the actual listing, verify:
- Condition: Confirm that it says New rather than Renewed, Used or refurbished.
- Seller: Check who sells the phone, the seller’s feedback and whether Amazon itself is the seller.
- Fulfillment: Review the “Ships from” and “Sold by” fields. The lowest offer may be a third-party listing.
- Model: Look for a U.S. model and confirm the model number. “Unlocked” can refer to international GSM stock rather than a U.S. unlocked device.
- Carrier compatibility: A technically unlocked phone may not support every carrier’s bands or services.
- Storage and color: Select the exact capacity and color you want, then recheck the price. The deal may apply to only one variant.
- Warranty: Confirm whether a U.S. manufacturer warranty is explicitly included.
- Returns: Read the return window and exclusions, especially for third-party, used or renewed inventory.
- Checkout total: Check shipping, taxes and any coupon requirement. A displayed deal price may require clipping a coupon or selecting a particular offer.
Amazon’s product-data documentation distinguishes among New, Used, Collectible and Refurbished offers and treats price, merchant and availability as offer-level details. That is why a product page’s headline is not enough to establish what you will actually receive.

A renewed S24 can be a worthwhile bargain when the savings are substantial, but it carries more uncertainty. Battery health, cosmetic condition, replacement parts, accessories, seller quality and warranty coverage can vary.

A renewed phone is most attractive when you confirm the battery policy, model number, carrier compatibility, return period and warranty—and when the discount is large enough to justify the risk of lower resale value or a less predictable condition.
Price rules for deciding whether to buy
These are practical benchmarks based on the documented promotions, not verified August 2026 prices:
- Galaxy S24: Compelling when new, U.S. unlocked and below roughly $600. Be more cautious near $700.
- Galaxy S24+: Particularly attractive around $750, especially in the 256GB configuration.
- Galaxy S24 Ultra: Worth serious consideration below $1,000 if new and unlocked, provided you want the camera system or S Pen.
- Renewed S24: Buy only after checking the battery, return policy, seller, model number and compatibility.
Bottom line
The documented $599.99 S24, $749.99 S24+ and $974.99 S24 Ultra prices were genuine historical Amazon lows for specific configurations, but they should not be presented as a live August 2026 deal without checking the exact listing.
Buy the standard S24 for compact size, the S24+ for the best large-screen value, and the Ultra for its cameras and integrated S Pen. In every case, favor a new U.S. unlocked phone from a credible seller. If the current discount is modest, compare the final price with a newer Galaxy model before committing to an older flagship.
