The Samsonite Omni 2 PRO is identified as a hardside expandable spinner carry-on, but the available references do not establish a reliable, current specification set for the exact model. Before buying—or relying on it for a flight—confirm the model number and configuration on the listing, then check its dimensions, weight, expansion, and warranty against that exact version.
What is the Samsonite Omni 2 PRO?
The product name refers to a Samsonite carry-on suitcase with a hardside shell, expansion, and spinner wheels. A third-party manual and reference page names the “Samsonite Omni 2 Pro Hardside Expandable Luggage,” identifies model 147844-7722, and describes it as polycarbonate weighing 6.8 pounds. Those details are not confirmed by a current official Samsonite product page, so treat them as unverified rather than definitive specifications. See the third-party Omni 2 Pro reference.
Which specifications are confirmed?
No current official Samsonite source for this exact Omni 2 PRO carry-on was located. The available references point to different products or configurations and should not be combined into one specification sheet.
| Reference | What it lists | Why it does not settle the Omni 2 PRO specifications |
|---|---|---|
| Third-party Omni 2 Pro reference, model 147844-7722 | Polycarbonate construction; 6.8 pounds | It is not a current official Samsonite source, and the details are not independently verified. Source. |
| Marketplace reference for Omni 2, model 138452-6912 | 22 × 14 × 9 inches; 7.5 pounds | This is a different model and color reference, not proof of the title configuration’s measurements. Source. |
| Samsonite Pro Carry-On Spinner official page | 22.4 × 14.3 × 10 inches externally; 8.5 pounds; ballistic nylon; expansion; integrated TSA-approved lock; limited 10-year global warranty | This is a different carry-on model. Its specifications and warranty do not establish the Omni 2 PRO’s. Official page. |
How to check whether it will work as your carry-on
Do not rely on the product title or a different Omni 2 listing to determine whether the suitcase fits your trip. Airline cabin-bag limits can vary by airline, route, and fare, and no airline policy has been verified here.

- Match the exact version. Check the model or SKU, color, and configuration on the product page and packaging. The third-party reference identifies 147844-7722; a separate marketplace result identifies 138452-6912.
- Get the outside measurements. Confirm dimensions including wheels and handles, and ask whether the stated measurements are for the unexpanded suitcase.
- Check the expanded size. If you plan to use the expansion feature, find the expanded external dimensions too.
- Compare against your trip’s rule. Use the current cabin-bag allowance for your airline and fare, not a general claim that the suitcase is airline-approved.
- Confirm the weight limit separately. A suitcase’s own weight reduces the allowance available for packed belongings where the airline applies a cabin-bag weight limit.
What to verify before paying
- Exact listing: Ensure the seller’s listing names Omni 2 PRO and matches the model or SKU you intend to buy.
- Included features: Confirm the shell material, spinner-wheel details, lock type, and interior organization on the exact listing. The available references do not reliably establish those details for the title configuration.
- Expansion: Verify that the version is expandable and check the expanded dimensions if they matter for your airline’s limit.
- Warranty: Ask Samsonite or the seller to confirm coverage for the exact model, purchase country, and seller. The 10-year limited warranty on Samsonite’s separate Pro Carry-On Spinner page does not establish coverage for Omni 2 PRO.
- Returns and service: Check the seller’s return terms and how warranty claims are handled before ordering, especially if the product is sold through a third party.
Is the Omni 2 PRO the right choice?
It may suit a buyer looking for a hardside expandable spinner, but the available evidence is not enough to make a confident fit or value judgment about this exact carry-on. The decision turns on the verified version’s external and expanded dimensions, weight, features, warranty, and current price. Compare those details with other carry-ons only when the listings refer to the same market and clearly identify the model.
