Only two private-lender products here have documented fast-funding terms, and neither guarantees same-day cash to every applicant. OnDeck says approved term loans can fund as soon as the same day; Bluevine says eligible customers can receive approved draws instantly in a Bluevine Business Checking account, while fee-free ACH typically takes until the next business day and can take up to three. The timing depends on approval, signing, business-day cutoffs and transfer method, so this is not a verified ranking of six lenders.
Which business financing options have documented fast-funding details?
The table separates a term loan from revolving credit and a slower public-backed route. A same-day statement describes a conditional process, not a promise that an applicant will be approved or receive spendable funds that day.
| Option | Product and speed | Cost information | Stated eligibility |
|---|---|---|---|
| OnDeck term loan | Lump-sum term loan. OnDeck says approved loans can fund as soon as the same day. Its cited page does not state a cutoff time or transfer method. | OnDeck reports a 53.2% average APR for term loans originated in the half-year ending June 30, 2026. This is historical lender-reported data, not a quote or a rate available to every borrower. OnDeck says its lowest rates go to businesses with the strongest creditworthiness and cash flows. | At least one year in business, a business checking account, $100,000 in annual business revenue and a personal FICO score of 625. Funding is subject to approval. |
| Bluevine line of credit | Revolving credit, with lines up to $250,000; issued by Celtic Bank. Bluevine says eligible customers can receive approved draws instantly into a Bluevine Business Checking account. Fee-free ACH typically arrives the next business day and can take up to three. The page does not establish same-day arrival to an outside bank account. | The cited line-of-credit page does not state a rate or total borrowing cost applicable to every borrower. Check the offer and agreement for the actual cost and fees. | Baseline criteria include an LLC or corporation in good standing, at least 12 months in business, no bankruptcy on file, at least $10,000 in monthly revenue (or $120,000 annually) and a personal FICO score of 625 or higher. |
| American Express Business Line of Credit | Line of credit with installment terms of 6, 12, 18 or 24 months, subject to eligibility. The cited page does not establish same-day disbursement, so it should not be treated as a verified same-day option. | The cited page does not establish one universal rate or total cost; review the offer terms. | At least one year in business, FICO score of 660 or higher (which may be higher based on other factors), and average monthly revenue of at least $3,000. |
These are product-specific thresholds, not general rules for business loans. Bluevine also says its application may return a financing decision in as little as 24 hours; its term loans are offered through lending partners, whose rates, terms, eligibility and funding timelines can differ. See Bluevine’s financing overview.
How to tell whether “same day” means funds you can use
Approval, signing and transfer are separate steps. A lender may approve a loan quickly without sending usable funds that day. Before relying on a timing claim, get the details for your specific offer in writing:
#1 Best Overall

- Time-value-of-money and Amortization keys solve problems including: pension calculations, loans, mortgages, etc.

- When must approval and signing be complete for funding to be initiated that business day?
- Which transfer method will be used, and when should money be available in the destination account?
- Does the timing apply to your bank account and requested draw, or only to an account held with the lender?
- Are weekends, holidays or a missed cutoff likely to push the transfer to a later business day?
For Bluevine, instant access to an approved draw in its own business checking account is distinct from an ACH transfer to another bank, which it says typically takes the next business day and can take up to three. For OnDeck, the cited page’s “as soon as the same day” language does not give a cutoff or transfer rail; ask the lender to confirm those for your application.
Choose a term loan or a line of credit based on how you’ll use it
Term loan: a lump sum with scheduled repayments
A term loan provides a lump sum that is repaid on a schedule. It can suit a defined, one-time expense when you know how much you need. Ask for the full repayment schedule, payment frequency, total amount to be repaid and any fees or early-payoff conditions; these details are not established for every offer in the cited information.

Line of credit: draw as needed, subject to the limit
A revolving line lets a business draw up to its credit limit and regain available credit as it repays balances, subject to the agreement. It may fit expenses that arise over time rather than one fixed purchase. A line’s draw, repayment and transfer timing matter: approval of the facility is not the same as instant access to every draw through every payment rail.
Compare total borrowing cost, not just speed or a starting rate
APR helps express borrowing cost as an annualized rate, but compare the actual offers’ repayment schedules and total dollars due as well. OnDeck reports average APRs of 53.2% for its term loans and 59.8% for its lines of credit, based on loans originated in the half-year ending June 30, 2026. Those are lender-published historical averages, not personalized rates, and they are not a direct price comparison with a particular Bluevine or American Express offer.

Before signing, check whether the agreement includes an origination fee, automatic frequent payments, a personal guarantee, collateral requirements or a condition for paying early. The cited product information does not establish all of those terms for every borrower; the specific agreement controls.
Cost deserves special attention when speed is the selling point. In its 2026 Report on Employer Firms, based on the 2025 Small Business Credit Survey, the Federal Reserve Banks reported that 38% of firms had applied for a loan, line of credit or merchant cash advance in the prior 12 months. The report also found that high interest rates and unfavorable repayment terms were the most common challenges firms reported at online lenders. Read the report.

When the need is not immediate, consider SBA-backed financing
SBA 7(a) loans are made by participating lenders, not directly by the SBA. The SBA says it can help with the process. Its program information lists financing up to $5 million, with rates negotiated by the borrower and lender subject to SBA maximums. The SBA lists processing times of 2–10 business days for 7(a) Small and 5–10 business days for Standard 7(a); those timelines are in business days and do not make these same-day cash products. SBA Express is listed at up to $500,000. Program availability and eligibility depend on the specific program and lender.
Use SBA lender program details and the SBA 7(a) loan page to understand the route and identify participating lenders through SBA Lender Match.

A practical decision checklist
- Confirm the cash deadline. Ask whether you need funds initiated or available to spend, and by what date.
- Match the structure to the expense. Consider a term loan for a known lump-sum need or a line for needs that vary over time.
- Get an offer-specific cost breakdown. Compare APR where provided, all fees, payment frequency, total repayment and early-payoff terms.
- Verify the funding route. Confirm cutoff, signing deadline, transfer method, destination account and expected availability in writing.
- Check security and recourse. Ask whether the offer requires a personal guarantee or collateral and read the agreement before accepting.
- Allow more time if possible. If the expense can wait, compare SBA-backed financing with private offers rather than choosing solely on speed.
Why this is not a six-lender “best” ranking
A responsible six-option ranking would require comparable, current details on each lender’s funding cutoffs and transfer methods, cost, eligibility, repayment terms and availability. The cited information supports specific comparisons for the options above, but it does not establish six independently comparable same-day lenders. Treat the named products as examples with stated terms, not as a ranked endorsement or a guarantee that you will qualify.
