On June 6, 2024, Salesforce announced new capabilities for Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Data Cloud. The reported additions focused on helping sales teams prepare for and follow up on customer calls, connecting asset data to field-service work, and making information available to AI copilots. CIO’s coverage describes the announcement; it does not establish that every feature remains available in 2026.
What Salesforce announced for Sales Cloud
The Sales Cloud additions were aimed at different points in a seller’s customer-meeting workflow: reviewing a call, spotting themes across meetings, and organizing follow-up. CIO reported the capabilities as Salesforce described them.
Einstein Conversation Insights call summaries
Salesforce said a generative-AI enhancement to Einstein Conversation Insights could create call summaries that users could explore and review with natural-language prompts. The product already transcribed meeting notes, surfaced insights and action items, and could update CRM systems, according to CIO’s report.
Sales Signals across meetings
Sales Signals was described as bringing customer-meeting data together to identify topics appearing across a company’s conversations. Salesforce positioned those signals as information that could help teams make sales-pipeline or go-to-market decisions.

Einstein Copilot for Sales Actions
Einstein Copilot for Sales Actions was described as helping sellers plan their day. It could prepare prioritized agendas and to-do lists, summarize top leads and new accounts, and help draft personalized follow-up emails based on call data.
What changed for Service Cloud and field service
The Service Cloud capabilities centered on using asset condition and service history to guide maintenance work. The reported functions connect asset data to alerts, technician work and operational visibility; they are product descriptions, not independently measured results.

Asset Health Score and technician workflows
Asset Health Score was described as calculating an asset’s overall health and performance from real-time asset data. That information could come from systems such as ERP or enterprise asset management platforms through Data Cloud. Businesses could set criteria that trigger a workflow when an asset needs attention, including creating a technician work order.
Technicians could receive asset scores in the Field Service Mobile App and use information about other assets at the same site to support preventive action. Salesforce was also adding automation for remote asset management.

AI-supported issue and failure predictions
CIO reported that a Service Cloud AI training model was intended to use current asset data and service history from similar assets to identify common issues and predict whether an asset might fail, including possible causes and timing. Field Service Intelligence was described as adding ready-made dashboards for asset KPIs.
The announcement coverage provided no measured accuracy, uptime improvement, asset-lifespan gain, service-margin increase or other quantified outcome for these capabilities.

Data Cloud’s vector database
CIO reported that Salesforce was making the vector database in Data Cloud generally available for enterprise use. Its stated role was to help AI models use structured and unstructured information drawn from multiple locations. Salesforce said: “Integrated into the Einstein 1 Platform, Data Cloud’s vector database ingests, stores, unifies, indexes, and allows semantic queries of unstructured data to take advantage of knowledge across all applications,” as quoted by CIO.
How the capability groups differ
| Area | Primary input | Announced output |
|---|---|---|
| Sales Cloud | Customer-meeting and call data | Call summaries, cross-meeting topics, seller agendas, tasks and follow-up email assistance |
| Service Cloud and field service | Real-time asset data and service history | Asset health scores, triggered workflows, possible work orders, predictions and KPI dashboards |
| Data Cloud vector database | Structured and unstructured information from multiple locations | Information indexed and made available for semantic queries and AI copilots |
What the June 2024 announcement does not establish
The June 6, 2024 CIO report documents what Salesforce announced at that time. It does not establish current pricing, which editions or packages include each capability, rollout status, or availability in 2026. Those details should be checked against current Salesforce product information before a purchasing or implementation decision. The report also does not compare Salesforce with competing vendors.
