Bottom line: SafeCard is marketed as a wallet card intended to block RFID/NFC reads, but the sources available do not establish that this specific product has been independently tested or shown to prevent card fraud. BBB lists a Chicago online retailer named SafeCard with a C- rating, and reviewers have reported checkout, billing, delivery, cancellation, and refund problems. Those reports are individual allegations, not verified findings. Before buying, confirm the seller’s identity and current return terms—and remember that your card issuer, not a passive wallet card, is the route for disputing unauthorized charges.
What is SafeCard?
SafeCard is described by a seller order page and a secondary review as a passive card designed to sit in a wallet and block RFID/NFC reads. The seller page advertises a 30-day money-back guarantee, but the page also contains stale and template material, so treat that as an advertised term rather than a verified current policy. Check the current terms and seller details before placing an order. SafeCard order page
The product identity is not fully settled: the sales page and review describe a wallet card, while the Better Business Bureau (BBB) profile concerns a Chicago online retailer named SafeCard. The sources do not establish that every similarly named listing or business is the same entity. BBB business profile Secondary review
Does SafeCard really work?
There is not enough evidence in the reviewed sources to say that this specific SafeCard model reliably blocks RFID/NFC reads. A review published August 10, 2026, says its product-specific effectiveness claims are not independently verified; that review is not laboratory testing. No product-specific lab result, performance percentage, or comparative test figure is established here. Secondary review

- SECURE YOUR WALLET FROM e-PICKPOCKETING: Prevent potential identity and financial theft through your contactless cards. This is the simplest and most effective prevention solution! Block RFID and NFC signals, protect your personal information, and enjoy peace of mind wherever your travels or business take you.
- JAMMING CHIP: An antenna and jamming chip makes up the main components of the card. The antenna will sense incoming radio waves and draw power for the chip to create a jamming signal. Lifetime usage as the card does not require battery.
- BROAD WORKING DISTANCE: With a 2.4” working distance, your entire wallet stays protected. The premium RFID blocking card helps secure cards within 1.2” on either side, providing reliable protection against electronic pickpocketing.
- ULTRA-THIN & COMPACT: At the size of a standard credit card and at only 0.03” thick, the card will fit into any wallet, purse or card case. Keep your wallet compact with no added bulk from this card. Best for travel, business, and everyday use.
- TEST THE CARD: Test the card is working at your local supermarket. At the self-service checkout machines, combine the card and a contactless card on the payment reader. Payment with the contactless card will be blocked and an error message should occur on the reader.
That uncertainty is different from proving the card does not work. It means buyers should ask for evidence tied to the exact model: a documented test method, the protocols and frequency range tested, and the results. A broad claim about RFID-blocking products is not proof for this particular card, and blocking a contactless read would not itself show that a card prevents identity theft or all forms of payment fraud.
What do SafeCard reviews and BBB records show?
BBB’s profile lists the Chicago business as not accredited and gives it a C- rating. BBB cites one unanswered complaint and the business’s length of operation among the reasons. The rating is a BBB business-profile measure, not a test of SafeCard’s shielding or performance. BBB also states that it does not verify third-party information or endorse businesses. The BBB review page displayed four customer reviews when accessed in 2026. Reviewers posting between March 2025 and June 2026 alleged issues involving checkout, charges, delivery, cancellation, and refunds. These are individual accounts: the page does not independently establish that each allegation is true or show how common such experiences are. BBB customer reviews
Is SafeCard a scam?
The available information does not establish that SafeCard is a scam. It does raise practical reasons to verify the seller, product identity, and terms before paying: the sales page contains stale or template material, the connection between the product page and BBB-listed retailer is not established, and some BBB reviewers describe alleged transaction problems. None of those facts, on its own, proves fraud or establishes the product’s technical performance.

- RFID Protection: An electromagnetically opaque layer helps block unauthorized scans, protecting credit card, debit card, and passport information from nearby readers; This RFID blocking card helps prevent digital skimming by shielding your wallet from electronic theft
- Threats Stay Outside: Digital pickpockets use hidden readers to skim contactless cards in crowds, transit and checkout lines; This credit card protector works as an RFID blocker the moment it's placed in your purse or wallet, stopping electronic theft before it occurs
- Invisible Yet Active: Ultra-thin and sized to fit any wallet slot, this rfid blocking card adds no bulk; Invisible protection helps shield your debit cards and IDs from electronic skimming without changing the way you carry your wallet
- One Card Protects All: Forget slipping every card into a separate RFID sleeve, just one RFID blocking card protects every contactless card, passport, and license all at once; Carry it in a purse, travel pouch or cardholder and stay shielded at airports, transit hubs and during daily commutes
- Drop and Defend: Keep the RFID blocking card in your wallet or travel bag, or save it as a backup; Simply insert it alongside your credit and debit cards for immediate protection against identity theft — no charging, no setup
Before ordering, check that the checkout identifies the seller clearly, the total includes shipping and any recurring charges, and the refund process and deadline are readable and current. Save the product description, order confirmation, and return-policy terms. If the seller or terms cannot be confirmed, do not proceed on the assumption that the advertised guarantee will be available.
Can an RFID-blocking card prevent credit-card fraud?
A wallet barrier, even if it blocks a particular contactless read, is not a substitute for monitoring transactions or contacting the card issuer. For U.S. credit cards, the Federal Trade Commission says federal law limits liability for unauthorized charges to $50 and describes a written billing-error dispute process: send the dispute to the issuer within 60 days after the first statement showing the error. Contact the issuer promptly and follow its instructions. These rules should not be assumed to apply identically to debit cards or cards issued outside the United States. The FTC also advises consumers to use their issuer’s procedures for unauthorized charges and warns against pitches for paid credit-card loss-protection products. That guidance is relevant when assessing claims that a separate product is necessary for financial protection; it does not determine whether a physical card blocks RFID/NFC signals. - Product-specific evidence: Look for a test report naming the exact model and describing its method, protocols, frequency range, and results.
- What it blocks: Confirm which contactless reads the product is meant to block and whether it could interfere with cards you want to use.
- Seller and transaction terms: Verify the legal seller, total price, shipping, any recurring charges, and the current return process.
- Use case: Decide whether you want a physical wallet barrier or protection against unauthorized transactions. For the latter, issuer alerts and dispute channels are directly relevant.
The reviewed sources do not establish a tested winner among alternatives, so there is no evidence-based basis here to recommend a competing brand.
