There is no verified, comparable net-worth ranking for all 24 players at the 2025 Ryder Cup in the available published figures. The best-supported comparison is Forbes’ estimate of the five highest-paid players over the 12 months through September 2025: Jon Rahm led with $99 million in estimated earnings, not $99 million in wealth. A separate 2025 season-earnings table covers more players but measures a different period and set of income.
Why a reliable net-worth ranking isn’t available
Net worth is the value of a person’s assets minus liabilities at a particular time. Earnings measure money received over a period. Neither Forbes’ estimates nor Golf Monthly’s season table establishes players’ complete assets and debts, so neither can show how much each player is “worth” or support a ranking of all 24 players by net worth.
Forbes’ 2025 Ryder Cup feature is explicitly an earnings ranking. Golf Monthly reports 2025 on-course earnings and listed bonuses. Both are useful comparisons when labelled correctly, but earnings are not a balance-sheet measure of wealth.
Forbes’ five highest-paid Ryder Cup players
Forbes Australia republished a Forbes feature by Justin Birnbaum estimating earnings over the 12 months dating to September 2024. The figures below are U.S. dollars, rounded to the nearest million, and are before taxes and agents’ fees.

| Rank | Player | Team | Estimated total earnings | On-course | Off-course |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Jon Rahm | Europe | $99 million | $89 million | $10 million |
| 2 | Scottie Scheffler | U.S. | $90 million | $60 million | $30 million |
| 3 | Rory McIlroy | Europe | $87 million | $42 million | $45 million |
| 4 | Bryson DeChambeau | U.S. | $44 million | $41 million | $3 million |
| 5 | Justin Thomas | U.S. | $38 million | $25 million | $13 million |
These are estimated gross earnings for Forbes’ defined period, not estimated net worth. Forbes says on-course figures include prize money and bonuses from the PGA TOUR—including the Player Impact Program—and TGL, as well as annual payments tied to Rahm’s and DeChambeau’s LIV Golf deals. Its off-course estimates cover sponsorships, appearance fees, memorabilia and licensing, and cash returns from businesses in which a player has a significant interest.
Forbes says its estimates draw on conversations with more than a dozen industry experts. The methodology excludes investment income such as interest and dividends, accounts for payouts from equity stakes sold, and does not deduct taxes or agents’ fees. The figures therefore should not be treated as audited financial statements or as a calculation of accumulated wealth. Read the Forbes feature republished by Forbes Australia.

What the broader 2025 season table shows
Golf Monthly’s table, published September 26, 2025, reports on-course earnings and listed bonus money for the season in its 2025 context. It is not the same measure or period as Forbes’ rolling 12-month estimates. The source reports the following figures for Team USA:
| Player | On-course earnings | Bonus money | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Scottie Scheffler | $27,659,550 | $23,000,000 | $50,659,550 |
| Russell Henley | $14,707,570 | $6,100,000 | $20,807,570 |
| JJ Spaun | $13,138,722 | $5,595,000 | $18,733,722 |
| Bryson DeChambeau | $16,855,877 | N/A | $16,855,877 |
| Justin Thomas | $10,896,155 | $5,165,000 | $16,061,155 |
| Ben Griffin | $10,644,352 | $4,900,000 | $15,544,352 |
| Harris English | $8,820,952 | $3,830,000 | $12,650,952 |
| Patrick Cantlay | $9,441,931 | $270,000 | $9,711,931 |
| Cameron Young | $8,789,813 | $350,000 | $9,139,813 |
| Collin Morikawa | $7,776,627 | $240,000 | $8,016,627 |
| Sam Burns | $6,801,982 | $285,000 | $7,086,982 |
| Xander Schauffele | $3,399,866 | N/A | $3,399,866 |
| Team USA total | — | — | $188,668,397 |
“N/A” is Golf Monthly’s marker, not a stated zero. The source also describes Team Europe’s 2025 earnings as about $161 million and says seven of its 12 players were below $10 million. Named figures in the article include Jon Rahm at $33,229,161, Rory McIlroy at $32,053,141, Tommy Fleetwood at $22,833,488, Sepp Straka at $17,235,894, Justin Rose at $10,682,726, Robert MacIntyre at $9,178,541, Ludvig Åberg at $8,715,248 and Shane Lowry at $7,428,514. These are season earnings, not net worth. See Golf Monthly’s player earnings table and team comparison.

How to interpret the different figures
- Forbes: estimated total earnings over a rolling 12-month period, including selected on-course and off-course income streams, for the five highest-paid players.
- Golf Monthly: season-to-date on-course earnings and listed bonuses in a September 2025 article, with figures for a broader group of players.
- Net worth: not established by either source; it would require comparable information about assets and liabilities, not just income.
The gap between a player’s Forbes estimate and Golf Monthly’s season figure is not evidence of a discrepancy in wealth. The sources use different time windows and measures, and Forbes includes estimated off-course income that Golf Monthly’s table does not report.

The Associated Press reported that each of the 12 U.S. players and captain Keegan Bradley was allocated $500,000 by the PGA of America: $300,000 designated for charity and a $200,000 unrestricted stipend. This was an event allocation policy, not a measure of net worth and not an amount to add indiscriminately to season earnings. AP reported that European players rejected compensation.
