Basic covers a small underseat bag; Regular adds a reserved standard seat, priority boarding and a 10 kg cabin bag; Plus adds a 20 kg checked bag; Family Plus is designed for groups with children; Flexi Plus adds broader seat choice and change-fee flexibility; Time Saver focuses on front-row seating and priority services. The best value depends on what you would otherwise buy separately, so compare the bundle with individual add-ons for your exact flight.
The details below reflect Ryanair’s published guidance checked on 4 October 2026. Airline terms, dimensions, availability and live prices can change; confirm the inclusions shown during booking.
What each Ryanair fare includes
Ryanair’s bundle names describe different combinations of baggage and services, rather than a simple ladder where every higher fare adds everything in the one below it. Check the specific inclusions for your booking.
| Fare | Baggage | Seat and priority services | Other notable terms |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | One small underseat cabin bag. Ryanair’s fare-bundle page lists 40 × 20 × 30 cm; its current baggage-policy page states 40 × 30 × 20 cm. | No reserved seat included; seat assigned randomly during the online check-in period. | Online check-in opens 24 hours before departure. |
| Regular | One small underseat bag and one 10 kg cabin bag (55 × 40 × 20 cm) for the overhead locker. | Standard seat and priority boarding. | — |
| Plus | One small underseat bag and one 20 kg checked bag. | Standard seat. | Ryanair’s page mentions free airport check-in only for passengers booked before 14 August 2025; this is not stated as a benefit for new bookings. |
| Family Plus | One small underseat bag, one 10 kg checked bag per group member, and one 20 kg checked family bag. | Free seats for children under 12, subject to the family seating rules. | For bookings of up to six passengers that include at least one child or teen. |
| Flexi Plus | One small underseat bag and one 10 kg cabin bag. | Priority boarding, reserved seating across available seat options, and airport security Fast Track where available. | No flight-change fee for an eligible change to a different date, time or route; any fare difference is still payable. A same-route change on the day of travel may be free if a seat is available. |
| Time Saver | Two cabin bags: one small underseat bag and one 10 kg cabin bag. | Priority boarding, front-row reserved seat in rows 1–5, and airport security Fast Track where available. | If rows 1–5 sell out, remaining seats are offered. |
Ryanair’s fare-bundle page lists the Basic small bag as 40 × 20 × 30 cm, while its baggage-policy page gives 40 × 30 × 20 cm as the current personal-bag limit. Because those dimensions differ, use the current baggage page and the live booking details when checking whether a bag will fit. See Ryanair’s fare-bundle options and Ryanair’s bag policy.

#1 Best Overall
How the bundles differ in practice
Basic: lowest included baggage, no seat choice
Basic is Ryanair’s cheapest fare and suits a traveller whose belongings fit in the small underseat bag and who is comfortable with random seat allocation. It does not include an additional cabin bag or a checked bag.
Regular: overhead bag and priority boarding
Regular adds a standard reserved seat, priority boarding and a 10 kg cabin bag for the overhead locker. It is the relevant comparison when you want to bring a larger cabin bag rather than check luggage.
Rank #2
- Ideal for Gifting
- Ideal for a bookworm
- Compact for travelling
Plus: checked luggage and a standard seat
Plus combines a standard seat with a 20 kg checked bag and the small cabin bag. Its airport check-in note is limited to customers who booked before 14 August 2025, so do not count that as a current inclusion when assessing a new booking.
Family Plus: group baggage and child seating
Family Plus is intended for a booking of up to six passengers that includes at least one child or teen. Its baggage is structured for a group: a 10 kg checked bag per member, a shared 20 kg checked family bag, and one small cabin bag.
Rank #3
Ryanair’s seat policy says children aged 2–11 must sit beside an accompanying adult. If a family on one reservation accepts random seat allocation, children are seated beside an adult free of charge; other adults and teens may be seated separately. That rule does not mean every passenger in the group receives a free reserved seat. Read Ryanair’s seat policy alongside the bundle inclusions.
Flexi Plus: more seat choice and a change-fee waiver
Flexi Plus includes priority boarding, both cabin bags, reserved seating among available seat options and airport security Fast Track where available. It removes the flight-change fee for a change to a different date, time or route, but it does not remove any fare difference between flights. A same-route change on the day of travel may be free if a seat is available. Ryanair’s published guidance gives different cutoffs depending on direction and booking channel, so check the current Flexi Plus terms and your booking before relying on a change deadline.
Rank #4
Time Saver: front rows and priority services
Time Saver’s distinguishing feature is a reserved seat in rows 1–5, alongside priority boarding, two cabin bags and airport security Fast Track where available. If those front rows sell out, Ryanair says remaining seats are offered. It is not the bundle to choose for a checked-bag allowance: the stated baggage benefit is two cabin bags.

There is no fixed best-value bundle without the live price for your itinerary. Compare the bundle price with the individual extras you actually need, not with the value of services you would not otherwise buy.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsBest Value
- It can be a gift option
- Comes with secure packaging
- Helpful in various ways
- Decide where your bags need to go. A small underseat bag may be enough for Basic. Choose a bundle with a 10 kg overhead cabin bag if you need that space, or a checked-bag allowance if your luggage belongs in the hold.
- Decide whether you need to choose a seat. Basic assigns a seat randomly during check-in. Regular and Plus include standard seats; Family Plus has specific child-seating provisions; Flexi Plus offers reserved choices among available seats; Time Saver targets rows 1–5.
- Value priority services only if you will use them. Priority boarding is included with Regular, Flexi Plus and Time Saver. Fast Track security is stated for Flexi Plus and Time Saver only where available; neither term guarantees that the service is available at every airport.
- Include the cost of changing plans. Flexi Plus waives an eligible flight-change fee, not the fare difference. If your plans are firm, that flexibility may not be worth paying for; if they are uncertain, compare the live bundle price with the change terms you would otherwise face.
- Compare the actual prices for your flight. Ryanair does not establish a universal price for these bundles on the cited pages. Its Help Centre says seats and bags can be added later through My Bookings, up to two hours before scheduled departure, but availability and prices depend on the booking. Check the options and total before paying.
Bag sizes and booking details to verify
Ryanair’s baggage policy states a small personal bag limit of 40 × 30 × 20 cm, to fit under the seat. It describes a 10 kg cabin bag with Priority boarding, plus checked-bag options of 10 kg, 20 kg and 23 kg. The fare-bundle page lists some dimensions differently, so the current baggage policy and your live booking are the safer references when exact fit matters.
Ryanair says add-on seats and bags can be purchased later through My Bookings up to two hours before scheduled departure. That cutoff is not a promise that every item or seat will still be available at the price shown during initial booking. Check the live itinerary for its options and terms.
