Is RSSB accepting applications now?
No. This is a historical notice, not an open recruitment. The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) listing records a detailed advertisement dated 12 December 2024 and an amended advertisement dated 15 January 2025. The official listing establishes that an amendment was issued, but its linked detailed PDF was not available in readable form here, so the change it made cannot be stated reliably. How many vacancies were reported?
Amar Ujala reported 72 posts in total: 30 Surveyor and 42 Foreman Grade II. Its reported area allocation was:

Scroll’s contemporaneous report says 71 vacancies in its prose while listing 30 Surveyor and 42 Foreman posts, which add up to 72; the figures above use that arithmetic and Amar Ujala’s total.

What qualifications were reported for each post?
Contemporary reports described the required diplomas and other eligibility conditions as follows. Check the detailed official advertisement before relying on these as definitive eligibility rules.

The reported age range was 20 to 40 years, with upper-age relaxation for reserved categories. Scroll gave 1 January 2026 as the age cutoff, a detail that is not confirmed here against the official notice and should not be treated as authoritative.

What was the application deadline?
Scroll reported 16 January 2025 as the initial deadline. A third-party search result later reported an extension to 23 January 2025, while RSSB’s listing confirms an amended notice dated 15 January. Because the amendment or extension text could not be checked, the final deadline remains unconfirmed here; neither date should be presented as a verified final closing date.
The application was reported as online, through Rajasthan’s Recruitment Portal or the RSSB website. The portal describes its role as coordinating recruitment information from advertisement through application, examination and results, and is the appropriate place to consult for historical notice records.

What selection and exam details were reported?
Amar Ujala described selection through a written examination, document verification and medical examination. It reported a 120-question, 120-mark paper lasting 2 hours 30 minutes, with one-third of a mark deducted for each wrong answer (reported as 0.33). The outlet also reported an examination fee of ₹600 for General/Unreserved candidates and ₹400 for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD and other reserved categories. These details are secondary reporting and should be checked against the official scheme and notice before being relied on.
