Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) issued its Deputy Jailor recruitment advertisement on 1 July 2024, announcing 73 posts. Applications reportedly opened on 8 July and closed on 6 August 2024, so this is a historical recruitment notice, not a current application opportunity. RPSC’s listing shows later recruitment-stage updates; check its latest official notices for your individual status.
What the 2024 notification announced
RPSC’s advertisement 04/Exam/Dy. Jailor/RPSC/EP-I/2024-25, dated 1 July 2024, announced 73 Deputy Jailor posts in the Jail Department. The advertisement is hosted on the Rajasthan Employment and Livelihoods portal.
Contemporary recruitment coverage reported that the online application window ran from 8 July through 6 August 2024. Both dates are historical; applications for this recruitment are closed. For eligibility, category-wise vacancy allocation, age limits, and application rules, rely on the official advertisement rather than a summary.
What is the current status?
RPSC’s official news and notices listing includes a result preamble dated 19 November 2025 for candidates qualified for the physical stage and a listing dated 3 September 2026 for marks after physical. These updates show that the selection process had progressed beyond applications as of 8 October 2026. They do not establish that every appointment is complete or determine an individual candidate’s result. Check the latest RPSC notice for candidate-specific information.

Where to find the syllabus and past papers
Official syllabus
RPSC publishes the Deputy Jailor Competitive Examination-2024 syllabus. It identifies General Hindi as Paper I and sets out examination-specific material. Use the complete PDF for the syllabus rather than relying on partial summaries.
Previous question papers
RPSC’s previous-question-paper page lists Deputy Jailor 2024 Paper I and Paper II, both dated 21 July 2025. These official papers are useful for understanding the exam format and practising with exam-specific questions.

What to know about the physical test
The official physical-test scheme includes scored events such as a 100-metre race or a specified walk/run alternative, long jump, strength exercises with alternatives, and a cricket-ball throw. The scheme sets out event details and scoring bands; consult it for the exact measurements and standards applicable to the relevant event and candidate category.
A cricket ball may be useful for optional practice because the scheme includes a cricket-ball throw. The scheme does not establish that candidates must bring their own test equipment, so follow the instructions issued for the physical test.
