The application deadline for the reported 575-post RPSC Assistant Professor recruitment was February 10, 2025, and has passed. The “closes soon” wording is outdated for that campaign. Check the current official notice and Rajasthan Recruitment Portal before acting on any newer vacancy or deadline.
What happened to the 575-post recruitment?
Hindustan Times reported on December 14, 2024, that the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) had announced 575 Assistant Professor posts. Its report said applications were scheduled to run from January 12 through February 10, 2025. Those dates describe a past application window, not a current opportunity. Hindustan Times’ report.
Is a newer RPSC Assistant Professor application open?
A separate recruitment website has claimed that a 2026 RPSC Assistant Professor drive covers 1,075 posts across 48 subjects, but that claim was not confirmed against an official notice. Do not rely on its vacancy count or deadline to decide whether to apply. Confirm the advertisement and application status through RPSC’s official website and the Rajasthan Recruitment Portal.
How to check the official status before applying
- Open the official RPSC site and look for the Assistant Professor advertisement or recruitment notice. Match the post name, advertisement number, subjects, and publication date.
- Check the Rajasthan Recruitment Portal for the corresponding listing and whether applications are currently being accepted. The portal describes a recruitment process that can include registration, advertisement, application, examination, answer key, provisional shortlist, document verification, result, recommendation, and appointment.
- Read the exact notice for the deadline, eligibility, age cutoff, fee, payment process, and selection stages. Use the notice’s own instructions for One Time Registration (OTR) and the application form.
- If the portal requires OTR, complete it well before the stated deadline where possible. Official portal guidance advises against leaving registration until the last moment; that general guidance does not mean a particular recruitment is open.
Do not carry the old age rule into a new notice
Hindustan Times’ account of the 575-post campaign reported an age range of 21–40 years as of July 1, 2025. That was the reported cutoff for that historical recruitment only. A later advertisement may set different age limits, relaxations, or cutoff dates, so use the criteria in the specific official notice you are considering.
