The “closes today” deadline in the headline was reported on 13 August 2025 and is historical. It concerned Rajasthan Public Service Commission Advertisement 09/2024-25 for 43 Assistant Statistical Officer (ASO) posts in the Economics and Statistics Department; it is not a current application deadline. The reviewed official listings do not establish the recruitment’s definitive current stage, so check the official portals for any current notice before taking action.
What the 43-post ASO notice was
RPSC Advertisement 09/2024-25, dated 5 August 2024, invited online applications for 43 Assistant Statistical Officer posts associated with Rajasthan’s Economics and Statistics Department. The Government of Rajasthan’s Employment Department reproduced the notice details in its Rojgar Sandesh bulletin dated 15 August 2024.
Scroll published its article titled “RPSC ASO application window closes today for 43 posts; here’s how to register” on 13 August 2025, describing that day as the closing date. That date belongs to the historical application process; it should not be treated as a deadline in 2026 or as evidence that applications remain open.
Is the ASO application open now?
No current opening for this 2024 notice is established by the official listings reviewed on 8 October 2026. The Rajasthan Recruitment Portal displayed a different 2026 recruitment, while the RPSC homepage listed newer notices. Neither listing confirms the ASO 2024 recruitment’s exact current stage. The original advertisement and a linked press-note PDF could not be retrieved, and the accessible RPSC listing did not show a definitive ASO 2024 status notice.
#1 Best Overall
Do not infer that the application is open—or make assumptions about results, appointments, or remaining candidate steps—from the old headline. Check the recruitment portal and RPSC notice listing for a notice that explicitly identifies the ASO recruitment or its advertisement number. A separate notice about the Statistical Officer (Statistics Department) Combined Competitive Exam 2025 is not an ASO 2024 status update.
How to check for a current Rajasthan recruitment
- Open the Rajasthan Recruitment Portal: recruitment.rajasthan.gov.in. It is the Government of Rajasthan’s unified portal for recruitments and describes one-time registration through single sign-on.
- Identify the exact notice: compare the recruiting authority, advertisement number, post title, department, and application dates. Do not rely on a headline or a listing for a different post.
- Read the official advertisement and any corrigenda: confirm eligibility, required documents, fee, deadlines, and application instructions in the notice for that recruitment.
- Follow the portal’s current instructions: the portal provides one-time-registration help and candidate guidance. Use those directions for a live application rather than assuming the steps or requirements from an older report still apply.
- Check the relevant RPSC notices: use the RPSC website for commission notices, and make sure any update names the correct post or advertisement.
What the historical registration steps can—and cannot—tell you
Scroll’s 13 August 2025 report described a sequence for the historical application: visit the Rajasthan Recruitment Portal, register, log in and fill in the application, upload required documents and pay the fee, then submit the form and keep a printout. This is useful only as context. The applicable instructions, documents, charges, and dates for any current recruitment must come from its official advertisement and portal guidance.
Rank #2
The same report stated a ₹750 one-time registration fee. Because that figure comes from dated secondary reporting and the original official advertisement was not retrievable, it is not a verified current charge and should not be used to budget for another application.

How to avoid confusing this notice with a current opening
- Match the notice to Advertisement 09/2024-25 and the ASO post, rather than relying on the “43 posts” phrase alone.
- Confirm dates on the official recruitment listing and in the advertisement; dates in a 2025 news article are not current application dates.
- Check for corrections or later notices that explicitly name the ASO recruitment.
- Keep separate recruitments separate: another statistical post, department, exam year, or recruitment cycle does not establish the status of this ASO notice.
