FintechOS announced a $60 million Series B+ on May 30, 2024, to support global expansion and make core modernization more accessible to financial-services companies. This was a new round—not the separate $60 million Series B the company announced in April 2021.

What is FintechOS?

FintechOS is an enterprise software company that provides digital transformation tools for banks and insurers. Its current product positioning centers on financial product operations: helping institutions configure, price, launch, and evolve products, with workflow and data capabilities. In practical terms, the software is intended to help financial institutions change products and customer journeys while working with existing systems; that is a description of the company’s offering, not an independent assessment of its performance.

The company was founded in Romania. IFC’s project disclosure lists Bucharest as its main office and London as its headquarters, so describing it as Romanian-founded is more precise than saying it is headquartered in Romania.

Who invested in FintechOS’s 2024 Series B+?

FintechOS said the $60 million round was led by Molten Ventures, Cipio Partners, and BlackRock. Existing investors EarlyBird VC, OTB VC, and GapMinder VC also participated. The announcement did not disclose a valuation or detailed transaction terms.

How the 2024 round differs from the 2021 Series B

The two announcements share the same headline amount but refer to separate funding rounds. Their investors and stated plans also differ.

Announcement Amount and label Investors named Stated use or plans
May 30, 2024 $60 million Series B+ Led by Molten Ventures, Cipio Partners, and BlackRock; EarlyBird VC, OTB VC, and GapMinder VC participated. FintechOS said the funding would accelerate global expansion and make core modernization more accessible to financial-services firms.
April 20, 2021 $60 million Series B, reported as EUR 51 million Led by Draper Esprit; Earlybird Digital East, Gapminder Ventures, LAUNCHub Ventures, and OTB Ventures participated. The announcement described plans to strengthen the company’s UK and European position, expand internationally, add 120 employees, and establish offices.

IFC separately announced a $10 million investment as part of the 2021 Series B. IFC said the investment was intended to support digital transformation at financial institutions and improve the access, affordability, and impact of services for underserved populations.

What did FintechOS say the 2024 funding would support?

The company said the capital would accelerate global expansion and help make core modernization more accessible to financial-services firms. The 2024 announcement did not provide a detailed allocation of the funds, so it does not establish how much would go to specific markets, hiring, product development, or other costs. The expansion plans described for the 2021 round should not be treated as announced uses of the 2024 funding.

What do the company’s growth figures show?

In its May 2024 announcement, FintechOS reported 40% year-over-year growth, a 170% increase in operating margins, and more than 50 clients worldwide. It named Groupe Société Générale, Admiral Insurance Group, and Howden Group as examples. The announcement did not explain the calculation or comparison period for the growth and margin figures, and these are company-reported metrics rather than independently verified results.

FintechOS also said it expected to reach break-even in 2024. That was a forecast made at the time; the announcement does not confirm that the company subsequently achieved break-even.

What is established—and what is not—about the raise?

The company announced the amount, lead investors, participating existing investors, and broad intended use of the 2024 round. The available announcement does not establish the transaction’s valuation, detailed terms, or independently audited performance results. Those limits matter when interpreting the headline amount: it identifies the announced size of the financing, not the company’s valuation or proof of financial performance.
