The 2025 Sunday Times Rich List estimates Mick Jagger and Keith Richards at £440 million each, tying them for the highest published figure among the Rolling Stones. Estimates for Ronnie Wood and the late Charlie Watts come from different sources and years, so they do not support a definitive, like-for-like full-band ranking.

Rolling Stones members’ published net-worth estimates

The figures below are estimates reported by publications, not audited personal balance sheets. The strongest recent shared comparison is the 2025 Sunday Times Rich List figure for Jagger and Richards. For Wood and Watts, the available amounts are older estimates attributed to Celebrity Net Worth by other newspapers.

Member Published estimate Source and year What the figure represents
Mick Jagger £440 million The Sunday Times Rich List, 2025 Rich List estimate; tied with Richards
Keith Richards £440 million The Sunday Times Rich List, 2025 Rich List estimate; tied with Jagger
Ronnie Wood $200 million The National, 2021; South China Morning Post, 2022 Celebrity Net Worth estimate cited by both publications
Charlie Watts $200 million or $250 million $200 million: The National, 2021; $250 million: South China Morning Post, 2022 Conflicting Celebrity Net Worth estimates associated with the late musician

Jagger and Richards were jointly placed at 295th in the 2025 Rich List. The Independent reported that each man’s listed fortune had risen by £25 million from the previous year’s figure (The Independent, 2025).

Why there is no definitive four-member ranking

The figures come from different estimate series

The £440 million Rich List estimates are not directly comparable with dollar-denominated figures attributed to Celebrity Net Worth. The sources do not establish a common valuation date, currency conversion, or methodology for combining them. A single ranking that mixes these figures would imply more precision than the evidence supports.

#1 Best Overall
Hot Rocks 1964-1971[180g 2 LP]
  • Hot Rocks 1964-1971 is the Rolling Stones' first anthology and one of their all-time best sellers

Even estimates for Watts differ

The National reported a $200 million estimate for Watts in 2021; the South China Morning Post reported $250 million in 2022. Wood is listed at $200 million in both reports. Those amounts are best presented as source-specific estimates, not as verified current wealth.

Who counts as a Rolling Stones member?

The band formed in 1962. The National Portrait Gallery’s group entry identifies the familiar quartet as Jagger, Richards, Watts, and Wood (National Portrait Gallery). Watts died in 2021; the Associated Press describes the post-Watts core trio as Jagger, Richards, and Wood (Associated Press). Accordingly, Watts’s amounts above are estimates associated with him, not a claim about his present personal wealth.

Rank #2
Forty Licks[180g Transparent Multicolor 4 LP]
  • Originally released in 2002 to commemorate their 40th anniversary as a band, Forty Licks was a huge commercial success selling over 7 million copies around the world

How older figures compare

Guinness World Records gave historical 2010 estimates of $313 million for Jagger and $289 million for Richards (Guinness World Records). Those dated figures illustrate how reported estimates change; they should not be treated as current values or used to override the 2025 Rich List. Guinness also characterizes the Stones as “the richest members of any music group”; that is the record page’s wording, not an audited comparison of individual fortunes.

What the numbers can—and cannot—tell you

Public net-worth estimates are not the same as a disclosed balance sheet. The cited reports do not provide verified personal accounts for every member, and the estimates should not be added together as though they were a standardized measure. For the most current comparable figure in these sources, Jagger and Richards are tied at £440 million each in the 2025 Rich List; the other published amounts are useful only with their source, date, and limitations attached.
