Rolex did not apply one worldwide price increase in 2022. Contemporary reports described separate adjustments in the US and UK in January, another UK rise in September, and an average euro-zone increase in November. The reported changes varied by market, model, material and comparison date; they are historical list-price figures, not current prices.
Why there was no single “2022 Rolex increase”
WatchPro reported that Rolex raised prices at the beginning of January 2022 after a freeze since 2020. Later in the year, it reported a further UK adjustment in September and an average euro-zone increase effective November 1. These were distinct market events, not installments of one uniform global percentage.

The figures below come from contemporary WatchPro reporting, with Bloomberg also reporting on the September UK move. They are nominal historical prices in the stated currencies. The available reporting is not a complete official Rolex price archive or a model-by-model schedule.
January 2022: selected US prices
WatchPro USA’s January examples show how much the reported changes differed even among prominent professional models. The Submariner comparison needs particular care: WatchPro compared the prior price with an older 40mm model, although the line had relaunched in a 41mm style in 2020.

| Model and market | Reported price change | How to read it |
|---|---|---|
| No-date Oystersteel Submariner, US | $7,900 to $8,950; +13.3% | WatchPro USA, January 2022. The report compares with the older 40mm model, not a fully generation-matched comparison. |
| GMT-Master II Batman 126710 BLNR, US | $9,700 to $10,550; +8.8% | WatchPro USA, January 2022. |
| Oystersteel Daytona 116500, US | $13,150 to $14,550; +10.6% | WatchPro USA, January 2022. |
| White-gold Daytona 116519 LN, US | $29,700 to $30,500; +2.7% | WatchPro USA, January 2022; the reported white-gold price includes sales tax. |
These examples show larger increases for these selected steel models than for the cited white-gold Daytona; they do not establish a general rule that steel always rose more than gold.
January 2022: UK examples
WatchPro’s January UK report also described increases for selected models. Its no-date Submariner comparison was reported as a 13.5% rise from £6,300 to £7,150. However, the displayed old-price figure in the article appears as “£6,3000,” an apparent typographical error; the £6,300 figure is the report’s stated prior price and should be treated cautiously. The article also compares an older 40mm Submariner with the line’s later 41mm generation.
| Model and market | Reported price change | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| No-date Oystersteel Submariner, UK | £6,300 to £7,150; +13.5% | WatchPro, January 2022; prior-price text contains the apparent typo noted above, and the generations are not fully matched. |
| Oystersteel Daytona 116500LN, UK | £10,500 to £11,600; +10.5% | WatchPro, January 2022. |
| White-gold Daytona 116519 LN, UK | £31,550 to £32,250; +2.9% | WatchPro, January 2022; the reported price includes VAT. |
September 2022: another UK adjustment
WatchPro reported UK increases of up to 7% in September. Its examples compare April prices with prices after the September adjustment, so the Submariner’s starting price is specifically its April figure—not necessarily its price at the start of the year.
| Reference and model, UK | Reported comparison | Change |
|---|---|---|
| Submariner 124060 | £7,150 in April to £7,500 | +4.9% |
| GMT-Master II Pepsi 126710BLRO | £8,400 to £9,000 | +7.1% |
| Oystersteel Daytona 116500LN | £11,600 to £12,150 | +4.7% |
Bloomberg also described the September UK rise in the context of the pound’s fall against the dollar and identified it as the second UK increase that year. WatchPro likewise associated the adjustment with sterling weakness. That context does not establish currency movements as the sole cause of every price change.

November 2022: euro-zone prices
WatchPro reported an average 5% increase in euro-zone prices effective November 1. That is a reported market average, not a claim that every Rolex model or every country using the euro rose by exactly 5%.
In an email statement to Bloomberg, quoted by WatchPro, Rolex said: “There is an alignment of euro zone prices due to currency fluctuations”. The individual spokesperson was not identified.
What the comparisons can—and cannot—tell you
- Keep markets separate. US dollar, UK pound and euro-zone figures refer to separate markets and dates; they should not be combined into a global average without a defined exchange-rate method.
- Match the reference and generation. The January Submariner figures have a generation mismatch caveat. The September UK report names the Submariner reference 124060.
- Check tax treatment. The cited white-gold Daytona prices include sales tax in the US and VAT in the UK. Their tax basis is not stated as matching every other figure.
- Distinguish a price point from a percentage. The reported percentage describes the change between the stated comparison prices; it is not an additional fee or a current price quote.
For a buyer comparing old retail prices with a current quote, these reports can establish the direction and scale of selected 2022 changes, but not today’s official price for a particular reference. They do not provide a complete historical price schedule, and the listed figures should not be treated as present-day Rolex prices.
