Forbes estimated Roger Federer’s net worth at $952.4 million as of 12:30 p.m. on August 11, 2026, after shares of On Holding fell about 19% that morning. It is the latest specific estimate available here—not an audited account or a live October 2026 valuation. Earlier estimates differ because they were made on different dates and reflect changing market values.

How much is Roger Federer worth?

Published estimates have put Federer’s fortune at different levels: Forbes estimated about $1.1 billion in its annual billionaire profile as of March 10, 2026, while Bloomberg reported an estimate of about $1.3 billion in June 2025. Forbes’s later August 2026 estimate was $952.4 million. These are publisher estimates, not disclosed personal financial statements.

Forbes About $1.1 billion March 10, 2026
Bloomberg About $1.3 billion Reported June 27, 2025

The estimates should not be averaged or read as a precise record of money gained or lost. The reports were made at different market points, and they do not provide enough detail to calculate a comparable, harmonized figure. The August estimate was an intraday snapshot; a later change in On’s share price could move a share-based estimate again. The sources available do not establish Federer’s net worth as of October 8, 2026.

Why estimates of Federer’s wealth change

His estimated stake in On

A substantial part of the fluctuation is tied to Federer’s reported ownership in On Holding, the Swiss sportswear company. Forbes estimated his stake at roughly 3% in its March 2026 profile and roughly 2.5% in its August report. Those are Forbes estimates at different times, not independently confirmed ownership figures. Forbes said the August estimate fell below $1 billion after On shares dropped about 19% that morning. Its report also noted On’s second-quarter 2026 net sales of 850.4 million Swiss francs, approximately $1.04 billion, below expectations of 878.4 million francs; those company results are not part of Federer’s personal wealth.

Forbes said Federer joined On as a co-owner in 2019 and relayed the company’s description of him as a “close partner to our founders.” That phrase describes the relationship, not the size or terms of his stake.

Estimates use different dates and methods

Public-market holdings can change in value as share prices move, while publishers may use different estimation methods for private assets, business interests, income and liabilities. The cited reports do not supply enough methodology detail to reconcile their totals exactly. Their different figures therefore are not, on their own, evidence that Federer gained or lost the difference between estimates.

How Federer made his money

Sponsorships and business investment

Federer’s wealth extends beyond the money he earned on court. Bloomberg described sponsorship deals and his investment in the sneaker brand as the bulk of his wealth. Forbes also points to sponsorships, including Uniqlo and other long-running partners, alongside his business activity and stake in On.

Tennis prize money

Prize money is significant but is not presented in these reports as the main source of his fortune. Bloomberg reported career prize money of $130.6 million over Federer’s 24-year playing career, which ended in 2022. That figure is career earnings from competition, not a current net-worth total.

Is Roger Federer still a billionaire?

That depends on the estimate and its date. Forbes’s March 2026 profile placed him at about $1.1 billion, but its August 11 estimate was $952.4 million—below the billion-dollar mark—after On’s share-price decline. Bloomberg had reported about $1.3 billion in June 2025. It is more accurate to describe billionaire status as estimate- and date-dependent than as a timeless, verified figure.
