What is Rocket Pro’s Orbit program?
Rocket Pro describes Orbit as an “excellence program” for mortgage brokers and a new part of its Power Play initiative. The October announcement says Orbit converts work brokers are already doing into program advantages, including conditional approvals, a clear-to-close timeline, and pricing credits tied to banked Padlock days. What benefits has Rocket announced?
- Same-business-day conditional approval: Rocket Pro’s October description lists this as an Orbit benefit. It does not specify the application requirements, cutoff times, or whether the timing applies to every loan.
- 12-business-day clear-to-close: The announcement lists this timeline but does not spell out its qualifying loan types or how Rocket defines the start and end of the period.
- Pricing credits from banked Padlock days: The announcement says brokers can convert banked Padlock days into pricing credits, but does not provide the conversion rate, eligibility rules, or any caps.
Because those operating details are not stated in the surfaced announcement, brokers should confirm the written terms with Rocket Pro before relying on a particular timeline or estimating a loan’s pricing.

How Orbit fits into Power Play
Rocket launched Power Play in February 2026. In its first-quarter results, the company said the initiative offered broker partners up to 100 basis points of stacked pricing credit through its partnership with Compass, combining enhanced purchase credits with agent connectivity. Rocket’s second-quarter results described Power Play as expanding to help brokers compete in purchase lending. Rocket reported same-business-day conditional approvals, a 12-business-day clear-to-close commitment for eligible purchase loans, and continued Compass pricing incentives. It also reported more than $2 billion in net rate-lock volume through the Compass partnership since its inception. That company-reported volume belongs to the partnership; it does not show that Orbit generated the volume or caused a particular result. Orbit appears to add a recognition or performance-based layer to the broader Power Play effort, based on the October announcement and Rocket’s earlier descriptions. The available information does not establish that every earlier Power Play offer remains active or that Orbit replaces any of them.

- What activity earns Padlock days and how those days convert into credits.
- Whether credits have a cap or can be combined with other pricing incentives.
- Which loan types qualify for the approval and clear-to-close service commitments.
- How business-day timing is measured, including when the clock starts and any cutoff times.
- The effective dates and any conditions or exceptions.

Orbit sits within a broader history of broker support initiatives, although older features should not be assumed to be part of Orbit. In 2021, Rocket announced broker tools that included a client portal for document uploads and electronic signatures, connections to real estate professionals, tools to track broker-agent relationships, a customizable Marketing Hub, and Rocket Connect support for broker questions.
