That figure was released in February 2024; it is historical, not Roblox’s current growth rate. In the company’s latest results identified here, for Q2 2026, bookings growth was 8% year over year while revenue grew 36%.
What Roblox reported in Q4 2023
In its February 2024 results, Roblox Corporation said bookings reached $1,126.8 million in Q4 2023, its first quarter above $1 billion in that measure. Bookings rose 25% year over year. The company also reported quarterly revenue of $749.9 million, up 30% year over year. Roblox’s Q4 and full-year 2023 release is the source for these figures.
Bookings and revenue are different measures, so their growth rates should not be treated as interchangeable. Roblox reported 71.5 million average daily active users (DAUs) and 15.5 billion hours engaged in Q4 2023.
What “bookings” means
Roblox defines bookings as revenue plus the change in deferred revenue during the period and other non-cash adjustments. The company says substantially all bookings come from sales of virtual currency, which users can ultimately convert into virtual items on the platform. Because bookings is a company-defined non-GAAP measure, it is not the same as GAAP revenue. Roblox’s release provides the company’s definition.

The distinction matters when reading growth headlines: bookings reflect activity that can be recognized as revenue at a different time, while revenue is reported for the period under accounting rules. A higher bookings figure does not mean the same amount was recognized as revenue in that quarter.
How the latest reported quarter compares
Roblox’s latest quarterly results identified here are for Q2 2026. Its August 2026 shareholder letter reported revenue of $1.5 billion, up 36% year over year, and more than 120 million DAUs with over 29 billion hours engaged. Bookings growth, however, was 8% year over year, or 7% on a constant-currency basis. Roblox’s Q2 2026 shareholder letter and results report those figures.

The comparison shows why a headline about 25% bookings growth cannot answer how quickly Roblox is growing now: it refers to a different quarter, and revenue and bookings have different definitions.

Alongside its Q2 2026 results, Roblox forecast that Q3 2026 bookings would decline 14% to 18% year over year. The company also reported Q2 operating cash flow of $318 million, up 60% year over year. The bookings outlook is a forecast, not a reported result, and should not be confused with Q2 revenue growth. The Q2 2026 shareholder letter contains the outlook and cash-flow figure.
