On January 22, 2025, Los Angeles-based LightBay Capital announced a partnership with the Seattle-headquartered company. The announcement describes plans to support growth and investment, but does not disclose a purchase price or other financial terms.

Ro Health is a healthcare staffing and home health company founded in 2013, according to LightBay Capital’s January 22, 2025 announcement. For schools, the company says it supplies nursing and behavioral health services to K–12 districts, including support for students with disabilities who have complex or chronic medical needs or behavioral disorders. Its stated aim is to help students participate safely and effectively in classroom learning.
LightBay describes Ro Health as a nationwide company. That is the investor’s characterization; the available sources do not establish a complete, current list of states or districts served. Ro Health is presented here as a contracted provider of services to schools and families, not as a direct-to-consumer health product business.

LightBay Capital, a Los Angeles-based private-equity firm, announced its partnership with Ro Health on January 22, 2025. Those are stated goals, not a guarantee that any particular expansion or acquisition has occurred.

LightBay’s announcement also quotes Ro Health CEO Jeff Widmyer as saying the partnership would “amplify our ability to make an impact in the communities we serve by supplying our clients with the providers they need to care for their students.” LightBay Partner and Co-Founder Nav Rahemtulla characterized the work as addressing a need to enable care for students with disabilities.
How much did LightBay invest?
The deal value and other financial terms were not disclosed. GeekWire’s January 22, 2025 report also says the terms were not disclosed. There is therefore no supported public figure here for the investment amount, the valuation, or the specific structure of the transaction.

What services are publicly listed for New York City schools?
The New York City Department of Education lists Ro Health as a related-service provider for behavioral health services, nursing, and therapy. Its disclosure also says Ro Health may access student personally identifiable information under relevant agreements. The NYC page explains that subcontractor access requires written agreements with materially similar protective obligations under applicable law.
