Those dates have passed; the official records cited here confirm the approval and planned schedule, but do not establish whether every market date went ahead or whether the market operates today.
What the City approved
At its Ordinary Council Meeting on 19 November 2024, the City of Perth Council approved a six-week market trial at Barrack Square. The resolution proposed a ‘Fit & Fresh Market’ or ‘Brunch Club’ theme. The City’s public summary, published two days later, described an emphasis on healthy living and eating.
The City said the market was intended to engage the morning fitness community and create a health- and wellness-focused destination that could lead visitors into retail shopping in the city. The audiences identified included Sunday fitness enthusiasts, health-conscious families, residents of the CBD and riverfront, fitness clubs and tourists. These were intended audiences, not reported attendance figures.
When and where it was planned
The announced schedule was Sunday mornings from 16 March through 20 April 2025 at Barrack Square, Perth. The City’s announcement said “Sunday morning” but did not give a specific opening or closing time.

What the approved budget means

What is not confirmed
A March 2025 council resolutions status report lists the approved schedule and location as an in-progress resolution entry. That administrative status does not independently confirm that the market operated on each scheduled date. The reviewed City sources do not establish delivery of the full trial, a post-event evaluation, or any continuing market at Barrack Square.
The cited material also does not provide a vendor list, attendance or visitor-spending figures, admission details, full opening hours, transport or accessibility guidance, or a weather policy. For current operation or visitor arrangements, check the City of Perth’s latest information rather than relying on the 2025 announcement.
