Is the January 2026 application still open?
No. The deadline and scheduled entrance examination have both passed. Applicants cannot use the old deadline notice as guidance for a later term; check RIMC’s current notice for the registration dates and instructions that apply to the cycle you want.
How does RIMC admission work?

What changes for the December 2026 exam cycle?
For the December 2026 examination cycle, which is for admission to the July 2027 term, RIMC says applications are to be submitted fully online through the NTA portal. No printed application hard copy is required, and RIMC and state authorities will not issue application forms. Check the official RIMC admissions information and the NTA portal for the live registration window, exam details and applicable eligibility cut-offs.
Age and class eligibility
RIMC states that the revised age range for this cycle onward is 12½ to 14 years, replacing the earlier range of 11½ to 13 years. The precise birth-date limits depend on the cut-off dates in the relevant notification, so a general age range alone cannot establish whether an individual candidate qualifies. Applicants must be studying in Class VII or have passed Class VII at the point specified by the official process.
