Riot describes it as an introductory box with four ready-to-play decks for two to four players. If you want just one champion-focused deck, look for a preconstructed Champion Deck instead. Buy boosters to collect or expand—not as a dependable way to get a particular card or a ready-to-play deck.
For current stock, check Riot Merch and nearby game shops, then confirm availability, price, and shipping for your location before ordering. Riot’s product information and store links are available on the official Riftbound product page.

Proving Grounds: the all-in-one beginner option
Proving Grounds is the clearest first purchase if you want a box that supports learning with friends. Riot describes it as an introductory experience featuring Annie, Master Yi, Lux, and Garen, with four ready-to-play decks for two to four players. That makes it a stronger fit for a new group than buying randomized boosters and hoping to assemble playable decks. See Riot’s Preview Season overview and product page for its description.

Champion Decks: one champion-focused starting point
If you would rather begin with a single preconstructed deck, Riot also lists Champion Decks built around League champions, including Jinx, Viktor, and Lee Sin as examples. Check the exact product listing before buying: the deck, set, language, and availability can vary by market.
Boosters and displays: for collecting and expansion
Booster packs and displays are physical products for expanding a collection, but the cards are randomized. Riot’s Origins information lists 14 cards per pack and 24 packs per display. Those figures describe Origins products; do not assume they apply to every set or use them to infer the chance of pulling a specific card. Where can you buy Riftbound?
Riot Merch
Start at the Riftbound product page, which links to Riot Merch. A product page or store link does not guarantee that a particular item is in stock, so check the live listing and its shipping terms before placing an order.
Local game shops
Riot identifies game shops as a retail channel. Use Riot’s PlayRiftbound.com announcement to learn about local play and event discovery, then contact a nearby shop to ask whether it has the product you want. An event listing helps locate a place to play; it does not establish that the venue currently sells a specific box or deck.

Online retailers and marketplaces
You can search online retailers and marketplaces for the exact product name, but inspect the live listing rather than relying on a search result. Confirm the seller, item and set, language, condition, total price, and delivery terms. A marketplace listing should not be treated as officially authorized unless that status is verified.

Riftbound supply has varied by product, region, and date. On March 31, 2026, Riot said Proving Grounds reprints had begun arriving in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, with additional deliveries planned for the EU and US. Riot also said Origins boosters were being released in waves and that further restocks were coming. These were dated updates, not a guarantee of stock now. Some product launches have had separate purchase processes. In its September 17, 2026 notice, Riot said players in North America and Europe could enter a drawing for the opportunity to purchase one Radiance Booster Display. Sign-up ran September 25–30; selections were due to begin October 5, with fulfillment beginning October 23, 2026. As of October 4, the sign-up window had closed and selection had not yet begun. This applied to that specific announcement, not to Riftbound products generally. See the Radiance Merch Store update for details.
Riot’s roadmap, last updated September 22, 2026, listed an October 23, 2026 launch for Radiance in English, Chinese, and French. Release dates can change; check the current roadmap for the latest schedule rather than assuming a planned date is a confirmed delivery or local stock date.

How to choose and check out safely
- Choose by how you plan to play. For a group learning together, look for Proving Grounds. For one champion-focused preconstructed deck, check Champion Deck listings. For collection expansion, consider boosters while allowing for randomized contents.
- Find a seller serving your location. Check Riot Merch, contact local game shops, or review online retailer listings. If you are hoping to play locally, use event discovery to find nearby communities, then ask the venue about inventory.
- Verify the exact product. Match the product name, set, language, and contents to what you intend to buy. Do not assume a listing for one Riftbound product is interchangeable with another.
- Check the complete cost and terms. Confirm the live price, shipping, taxes or other charges shown at checkout, delivery timing, and return terms. Availability and shipping can differ by region and seller.
- Recheck limited-release dates. For products sold through a sign-up, drawing, or other limited window, confirm that the entry period is still open and review the official notice for eligibility and timing.
