No one can give you a verified ranking of the richest AEW wrestlers. The published figures that exist are secondary estimates from entertainment and sports outlets, they do not disclose how they were calculated, and they cover only two wrestlers in enough detail to compare: Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley. What follows is a dated account of those estimates, the measure each one uses, and where they disagree, so you can judge them for yourself rather than accept a single ordered list.
Who is the richest AEW wrestler, according to published estimates?
The highest net worth figure among the outlets compared here is Times of India’s estimate of approximately $18 million for Chris Jericho, reported in an October 2024 top-ten net-worth roundup. That makes Jericho the largest single net-worth estimate we could find, but it is a 2024 figure from one outlet, and it does not establish that he is the richest AEW wrestler in 2026. The other wrestlers in those roundups were not covered with figures in the material available for this article, so a dated top ten cannot be built from it.
The published figures side by side
The table below lists every amount attributed to a named AEW wrestler in the outlets reviewed. Each row keeps the measure, publisher and date together, because a salary and a net worth are not interchangeable.
| Wrestler | Measure | Estimated figure | Publisher and date | Caveat |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chris Jericho | Net worth | Approximately $18 million | Times of India, October 2024 (top-ten net-worth roundup) | Secondary estimate, not an official or audited disclosure |
| Chris Jericho | Estimated annual salary | Approximately $5 million per year | Times of India, January 2026 | Annual income, not net worth |
| Jon Moxley | Estimated annual wrestling income | About $6 million per year | Times of India, January 2026 (highest-paid list) | Annual income, not net worth |
| Jon Moxley | Net worth for 2025 | $7 million to $8 million | Times of India, January 2026 | Estimate for 2025, presented as a range |
| Jon Moxley | Net worth | $7 million | AthleteWiki, 2026 (exact publication date not stated) | Single figure; the year it describes is not stated and it does not match the Times of India range exactly |
What the estimates say about each wrestler
Chris Jericho
Jericho has the only net worth figure above $7 million in the sources compared here, and it is also the oldest, dating from October 2024. The January 2026 salary estimate is a different kind of number. It describes what he earns in a year, and it cannot be turned into a wealth total, because it says nothing about savings, investments, debts or how long his earnings have lasted. A reader who wants a current picture of Jericho’s finances has no dated net worth estimate from 2025 or 2026 to work from.

Jon Moxley
Moxley has the most overlapping figures, which makes him the best test case for how much these estimates disagree. Times of India gives a range of $7 million to $8 million for his 2025 net worth. AthleteWiki gives a single $7 million figure without making the year clear. The two are close enough to suggest a similar order of magnitude, but not close enough to treat either as the exact number. The roughly $6 million per year income estimate from the same January 2026 Times of India list should be kept separate: it is a yearly flow of income, not a stock of wealth, and setting it beside a net worth figure would mislead.
Why the published numbers conflict
- Different measures. Outlets report net worth, annual salary, annual wrestling income and contract value. These answer different questions, and the sources do not say how they convert one into another.
- Different dates. The Jericho net worth figure is from October 2024, the salary estimate is from January 2026, and the Moxley range refers specifically to 2025.
- Ranges versus single figures. Times of India gives Moxley a range, while AthleteWiki gives one number. Neither outlet explains how it arrived at its figure.
- Stated uncertainty. A 2026 USAPoloBear salary roundup presents its numbers as estimates and says that some sources conflict. It is useful evidence that the field is uncertain, not a reliable table of wealth.
- No primary financial statements. None of the sources reviewed for this article publishes audited financial statements, tax filings or private account information for an individual wrestler.
How to compare estimates yourself
- Write down the wrestler, the measure (net worth, salary, annual income or contract value), the amount or range, the publisher, and the publication date. Do not mix measures in the same column.
- Check whether the figure is a range or a single number, and whether it describes a specific year. A figure with no stated year cannot be compared with one that has a year.
- Where two outlets disagree, record both values and the gap between them. Do not average them, and do not silently keep the larger one.
- Check the wrestler’s current roster status on AEW’s official roster page. That page confirms roster presence and championship context only. It does not confirm anyone’s personal finances.
- Treat any estimate older than the wrestler’s most recent career change or contract as provisional, because earnings can shift sharply with a new deal, a title run or a departure.
What these estimates cannot tell you
Published estimates can show you which figures have been reported and how far apart they are. They cannot show that one wrestler is wealthier than another in any reliable sense, because the underlying numbers are not disclosed, the measures differ, and the dates do not line up. If you are using these figures for a decision, treat them as starting points for questions to ask a financial professional, not as facts about any individual’s finances.
Rank #2
A complete dated top ten would require estimates for more wrestlers, published under a consistent measure and date. Those were not available in the material used for this article.
