For Thanksgiving 2025, some Starbucks and Dunkin’ locations were reported open, but no chain-wide list of confirmed hours is established here. Thanksgiving fell on November 27, 2025, and restaurant hours depended on the individual location. Check that exact restaurant’s listing before traveling; a chain’s general holiday guidance cannot confirm that a particular store was open.
Which fast-food and chain restaurants were open on Thanksgiving 2025?
A 2025 Axios roundup reported that many Starbucks and Dunkin’ locations were open, while advising customers to check the closest location. That is not a complete list of open restaurants or a dependable schedule for every location. Axios’s Thanksgiving 2025 roundup is the source for those reported examples.
Starbucks
Starbucks’ general holiday guidance says some coffeehouses may reduce their hours or close on Thanksgiving, depending on location. The company recommends checking its app or store locator for local hours. This is general guidance, not an archived schedule confirming which stores opened on November 27, 2025. Dunkin’
The Axios roundup reported many Dunkin’ locations open, but does not establish a universal schedule or confirm a specific restaurant’s hours. Check the local listing before setting out. Axios’s Thanksgiving 2025 roundup.

Other chains
McDonald’s says restaurant hours may vary at the discretion of local co-ops and franchisees and directs customers to check their local restaurant. That policy explains why hours can differ, but does not establish that any McDonald’s location was open on Thanksgiving 2025. McDonald’s FAQ.
Wendy’s says many locations may open on holidays, with hours varying by location, and points customers to its locator or app. Its guidance was published after Thanksgiving 2025, so it cannot verify a specific restaurant’s 2025 schedule. Wendy’s holiday-hours guidance.

How to check a restaurant’s Thanksgiving hours
- Search for the exact restaurant location in the chain’s app or store locator. Starbucks, McDonald’s and Wendy’s specifically direct customers to local tools or listings for hours.
- Check that the listing refers to Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2025—not ordinary weekday hours or a different holiday.
- Confirm the details that matter for your visit, such as opening and closing time and whether the service you need is available. The sources above do not establish dine-in, drive-through, pickup or menu availability for particular locations.
- If the listing is unclear, contact the restaurant directly before traveling.
What this 2025 roundup can—and cannot—tell you
The available reporting supports a narrow conclusion: many Starbucks and Dunkin’ locations were reported open, but it does not provide a complete, verified location-by-location schedule. The chain guidance reinforces that hours can vary; it should not be mistaken for proof that a particular restaurant opened that day. No exact-hours comparison is possible from these sources.
