Relyance AI announced a $32.1 million Series B on October 10, 2024, led by Thomvest Ventures, with M12, Cheyenne Ventures, Menlo Ventures and Unusual Ventures participating. The enterprise software company said it would use the funding to develop its platform and expand go-to-market efforts.
Who invested in Relyance AI’s Series B?
Thomvest Ventures led the round. M12, also known as the Microsoft Ventures Fund, and Cheyenne Ventures joined existing investors Menlo Ventures and Unusual Ventures. The company’s October 10, 2024 announcement and TechCrunch’s report both identified the financing as $32.1 million. The headline’s $32 million is a rounded figure.
The announcement did not disclose a company valuation. It said proceeds would go toward further platform development and scaling sales and go-to-market activity.
What does Relyance AI’s data governance platform do?
In its 2024 funding announcement, Relyance described a platform that gives organizations visibility into enterprise data processing and compares observed activity with contractual commitments, global privacy regulations and compliance frameworks. CEO and co-founder Abhi Sharma said the company planned to expand the product into data security posture management (DSPM) and AI governance. These are descriptions and plans from the company, not an independent assessment of product capabilities.

Sharma’s funding-day post framed the approach as starting with code, infrastructure and data processing, then comparing operational reality with obligations. That is the company’s stated product direction, not evidence of a head-to-head advantage over other vendors.
What did Relyance report about growth?
The company said its enterprise customer base grew 30% in the first half of 2024 and projected that its annual recurring revenue (ARR) would double during 2024. The doubling figure was a forecast in the funding announcement; the sources cited here do not verify whether it happened.
Rank #2
The release also quoted NextRoll Senior Privacy and Product Counsel Deborah Usry as saying visibility into data processing activities increased 1,660% within three weeks of deployment. That is a customer testimonial as presented by Relyance, not an independently validated benchmark.

A later product announcement, dated April 21, 2025, described Data Journeys as providing context-aware visibility into enterprise data flows. Relyance’s press index lists a March 23, 2026 announcement of Lyo’s commercial availability. These later milestones show how the company’s product messaging developed; they should not be read back into what it described when announcing the 2024 round.
