What happened to REI’s spring 2026 travel deals?
REI announced Member Days for March 13–23, 2026. During the event, members could use code MEMBER26 for an extra 20% off one online Outlet item, subject to the promotion’s terms. REI also described a member-exclusive Outlet Flash Deals collection available through March 17, before a new collection was scheduled to appear March 18. Those dates have passed; neither offer should be treated as active in October 2026. REI’s March 6 announcement describes the promotion.
For current sale categories, check REI’s deals page and the live Outlet listings rather than relying on an old promotion or cached price.

REI’s travel-deals results showed a mix of travel packs, daypacks, briefpacks and duffels—not just conventional wheeled luggage. How to choose an Outlet bag for your trip
Start with the way you will carry the bag and the trip it needs to serve. REI’s filters include bag style, trip length or capacity, weight, laptop fit, best use and price. Use those criteria to compare current listings rather than assuming a large markdown makes a bag the right fit.

What REI Outlet means for a buyer
REI describes Outlet merchandise as end-of-season closeouts and previous-year models. Its Outlet page says anyone can shop, Outlet orders are online-only, and Outlet products follow the same return policy as REI.com. The page also describes an extended return window for members, subject to exceptions. Shipping terms differ by membership and order conditions.
