Realm.Security announced on September 12, 2024, that it had emerged from stealth with a $5 million seed round led by Accomplice and Glasswing Ventures. The Boston-based cybersecurity company said it was building software to manage, transform and route security data. The seed round was an early financing milestone, not its latest disclosed funding: Realm later announced a $15 million Series A and a separate $2 million strategic investment.
What Realm.Security does
Realm described its product as a security-data platform for bringing information from different sources and formats into a managed pipeline. The company said the platform can normalize, suppress, route and enrich that data before sending it to different destinations.
The problem Realm says it is addressing is that security teams collect data across many tools, while ingestion and usage costs can rise with the volume. Its stated aim is to give teams more control over data flows and costs and reduce vendor lock-in. Those are company positioning claims; the launch announcement does not independently establish cost savings, performance improvements or security outcomes.
What the launch announcement said about data growth
Realm CEO and co-founder Peter Martin said conversations with more than a hundred security professionals suggested security-data volumes had risen 300% to 500% over two years. That figure was Martin’s account of those conversations, not a published representative industry study: the announcement did not describe a sampling method or independent validation. Martin summarized the challenge this way: “Cybersecurity has increasingly become a data problem,”

Who founded and funded the company
The September 2024 announcement named Peter Martin, Jeff Kraemer and Sanket Choksey as co-founders, with Martin serving as CEO. It associated the founders’ previous work with Carbon Black, Rapid7, Confer Technologies and Cisco Systems. The named investors in the seed round were Accomplice and Glasswing Ventures.

Realm said the December 2025 investment and Presidio’s network would support expansion in Asia-Pacific through channel partners. What the funding announcement does—and does not—tell customers
A seed-round announcement establishes that Realm disclosed early-stage financing and a product direction. It does not, by itself, show how the platform performs in a customer environment or whether it reduces a particular organization’s costs. Teams evaluating security-data pipeline products would need to assess supported sources and destinations, transformation and routing controls, data fidelity and effects on detections, deployment effort, pricing basis and total ingestion or storage costs, and interoperability with existing tools.
Realm’s October 2025 Series A announcement described continued product development and integrations and said the company then offered a 30-day trial for up to 500 GB per day. That is a dated company statement; trial terms and availability as of October 4, 2026, are not established here.
