RateX announced its Solana mainnet launch for October 17, 2024. It describes itself as a yield-trading protocol where users can trade the yield portion of yield-bearing assets, including with borrowed funds. Its Jupiter- and Jito-related posts from that day described planned and announced use cases, but they do not establish that any particular market is available now or independently verify an endorsement by either ecosystem.
What RateX’s Solana launch announcement established
A launch announcement carried by ZEX PR WIRE gave October 17, 2024 as RateX’s Solana mainnet launch date. That is evidence of what RateX announced at the time, not a live check of the protocol’s current operation, available markets, or liquidity.
The announcement called RateX the “first leveraged yield exchange.” That superlative is a claim in RateX/ZEX promotional material; the sources available here do not independently establish that it was first.
What leveraged yield trading means
RateX’s documentation describes a margin and spot yield-trading protocol. It splits a yield-bearing asset into a standard token (ST), representing the principal component, and a yield token (YT), representing the yield component. RateX says YT value can move significantly as expectations for the underlying asset’s yield change.

How a YT trade works
- A trader who expects implied yield to rise can swap ST for YT.
- A trader who expects implied yield to fall can swap YT for ST.
- RateX also describes fixed-yield and yield-liquidity functions; their availability and terms depend on the specific product and market.
The idea is to take a position on changes in the value of future yield rather than simply hold the underlying yield-bearing asset. The trade can lose value if yield expectations move against the trader, and YT’s value can be volatile.
How leverage adds risk
In its leveraged yield trading documentation, RateX describes borrowing ST or YT and swapping through an automated market maker. Borrowing increases the position relative to the margin supplied, so it can magnify losses as well as gains. The documentation says users can trade with up to 10 times their deposited margin; this is a stated protocol limit, not a typical position size or a return estimate.

The documentation’s JitoSOL-2512 example uses 1 SOL of margin for an illustrative 10x position. It explains mechanics; it does not show realized performance or prove that this maturity market is still open, liquid, or accessible.
RateX also describes a YT price cage at plus or minus 10% of the 24-hour time-weighted average price (TWAP) in margin trading. This is a protocol-stated mechanism, not protection against losses, liquidation, or manipulation. Its litepaper describes liquidation when a position’s collateral ratio falls below a minimum, so a leveraged position can be closed after adverse price moves.

What the Jupiter and Jito posts said—and did not prove
RateX published Jupiter- and Jito-related announcements on October 17, 2024. They are issuer-authored descriptions of the relationship and intended product uses at that time, not independent confirmation of ecosystem endorsement or of current integrations.

Jito Foundation’s 2022 explainer describes JitoSOL as a liquid-staking token whose yield accrues in its price, rather than through a regular token distribution, and attributes its value to staking and MEV-related rewards. That helps explain why JitoSOL’s yield could be an input to a yield-trading product; it is not a current APY quote.

Can you trade JLP, JitoSOL, JupSOL, or VRTs on RateX now?
The dated announcements do not answer that question. The sources reviewed do not establish present-day availability, liquidity, fees, market maturities, or exit routes for any named asset. RateX’s homepage is not, by itself, evidence that a particular market is currently tradable. Check the live app and current market documentation before depositing or opening a position, and verify the asset, maturity, collateral rules, fees, and withdrawal route in the specific market.

- Yield and price risk: YT prices can change substantially when implied yields change. A directional view can be wrong, even if the underlying asset continues to earn yield.
- Leverage and liquidation: Borrowing enlarges exposure. A collateral threshold can trigger liquidation, potentially realizing losses before a market recovers.
- Liquidity and exits: A documented example or announced market does not show that there is sufficient current liquidity to enter or exit at a desired price.
- Guardrail limits: A TWAP-linked price cage is a stated mechanism, not a guarantee against loss or adverse execution.
- Audit scope: A Beosin audit surfaced for a BNB Chain deployment. It should not be treated as evidence that the Solana deployment was audited.
- Token versus protocol: XT.COM announced RTX/USDT trading for December 19, 2025, and warned that a newly listed token could fluctuate sharply and lose some or all of its value. A token listing notice does not establish the status or safety of a yield market.
Before considering a position, confirm the chain and contract, underlying asset and maturity, collateral and liquidation rules, current liquidity, fees, and available exit route. Do not infer expected returns from the 10x example, the protocol’s leverage limit, or an announced integration.

The dated materials establish that RateX announced a Solana launch and described particular Jupiter- and Jito-related use cases in 2024. They do not establish the protocol’s current operational status, the present availability of JLP, JitoSOL, JupSOL, or VRT markets, or current terms and performance. The “first” label remains an issuer claim, and the cited BNB Chain audit does not establish Solana audit coverage.
