Ramp’s Valuation Rose From $13B to $16B in Three Months in 2025

Ramp’s June 2025 Series E valued the company at $16 billion, up $3 billion from the valuation announced after a March secondary sale. The transactions had different mechanics, and neither figure was a public-market share price.

Ramp announced a $16 billion valuation on June 17, 2025, when it raised $200 million in a Series E round led by Founders Fund. That was $3 billion, or about 23%, above the $13 billion valuation it announced in March. The figures came from two different kinds of private transactions—not from a public stock-market price—and the available announcements do not establish one specific reason for the increase.

What happened between March and June 2025?

Date Event Reported valuation Transaction detail
March 3, 2025 Ramp announced a new valuation after a secondary share sale. $13 billion TechCrunch reported a $150 million secondary share sale preceding the valuation. TechCrunch; Ramp announcement
June 17, 2025 Ramp announced a Series E financing. $16 billion $200 million raised in a round led by Founders Fund. Ramp announcement; TechCrunch

The gap between the two reported valuations is $3 billion. Dividing that increase by $13 billion gives about 23%; that percentage is arithmetic based on the announced figures, not a separate company-reported performance measure. The transactions were roughly three months apart.

Why the two valuations are not identical kinds of evidence

March was a secondary share sale

In a secondary sale, existing shareholders sell shares; the company does not necessarily receive the sale proceeds as new financing. Ramp announced the $13 billion valuation after a $150 million secondary share sale, as reported by TechCrunch. The announcement does not mean every Ramp share changed hands at that price.

June was a primary Series E financing

The June figure accompanied a $200 million Series E round led by Founders Fund. A primary financing brings new capital into the company in exchange for newly issued shares, subject to the round’s terms. The reported $16 billion is a private financing valuation, not a quoted share price available on a public exchange.

Because the transaction types and terms differ, the valuation figures are useful milestones in investor pricing, but they are not a like-for-like public-market price series. Neither announcement establishes a guaranteed price at which an existing shareholder could sell, or a price at which an ordinary reader could invest.

What Ramp said it does and why investors were funding it

Ramp describes its product as a financial-operations platform for businesses. Its June 2025 announcement listed corporate cards and expense management, bill payments, procurement, travel booking, and treasury. The same announcement said Ramp served more than 40,000 companies and processed over $80 billion in annualized purchase volume at that time. Those were company-reported figures, not independently audited measurements in the cited materials; Ramp excluded bank transfers and non-monetized payments from its purchase-volume calculation. In its March 2025 post, Ramp said it had helped customers save $2 billion and 20 million hours to date, including more than $1 billion and 10 million hours in the preceding 12 months. These, too, were company claims published by Ramp, not independent measurements. Ramp’s March announcement

Those descriptions provide context for the business investors were financing, but the announcements do not identify a single cause for the valuation increase. It would go beyond the evidence to say that any one product, customer metric, or investor drove the change.

How Ramp’s reported valuation changed afterward

Date Reported valuation Financing status and detail
July 30, 2025 $22.5 billion TechCrunch later reported a Series E-2 financing at this valuation. TechCrunch
November 17, 2025 $32 billion TechCrunch reported a $300 million round at this valuation. It also reported that Ramp said in October it had surpassed $1 billion in annualized revenue—a run-rate measure, not necessarily revenue earned over a completed year. TechCrunch
June 4, 2026 $44 billion GIC announced a $750 million Series F at this valuation. Its announcement attributed more than $1 billion in annualized revenue and positive free cash flow to company statistics dated June 1, 2026. GIC
September 10, 2026 Around $60 billion The Next Web relayed Bloomberg reporting that Ramp was in early talks about raising roughly $1 billion. This was an unconfirmed report about discussions, not a completed financing or an established current valuation; the report said details could change and The Next Web had not independently verified it. The Next Web

As of June 4, 2026, the latest completed valuation in these reports was $44 billion. The later $60 billion figure should be treated as a reported possibility, not as a closed-round valuation. Private-round valuations are transaction-specific, and the cited sources do not establish a definitive fair-market value for all Ramp shares.
