Ramp Says It Hit $1 Billion in Annualized Revenue: What the Figure Means

Ramp said its annualized revenue exceeded $1 billion as of August 31, 2025. The milestone is a run-rate claim, not proof of $1 billion in revenue recognized over a completed year.

Ramp said it crossed $1 billion in annualized revenue as of August 31, 2025. That is a company-reported revenue run rate—not evidence that Ramp recognized $1 billion in revenue during a completed fiscal year. The distinction matters when interpreting the milestone.

What Ramp announced

In a September 9, 2025 announcement, Ramp said it had surpassed $1 billion in annualized revenue, with its supporting figures dated August 31, 2025. The company also said it was generating operating cash flow. These are company-reported figures, not independently audited results in the announcement. Ramp’s announcement.

Ramp co-founder and CEO Eric Glyman said, “$1 billion in revenue is not the story, it’s a byproduct of the value we bring for our customers.” The announcement also reported 45,000 customers, more than half of whom used at least two Ramp products, and $100 billion in annualized purchase volume as of August 31, 2025. Ramp said it had saved customers more than $10 billion and 27.5 million hours to date. Those customer and savings figures are Ramp’s claims, not independent measurements.

Does annualized revenue mean Ramp made $1 billion last year?

No. Annualized revenue is a run rate: a current pace projected over a full year. It does not establish how much revenue a company actually recognized over a completed fiscal year. TechCrunch described the term as projecting the current rate across a year. TechCrunch’s report.

So the accurate reading is that Ramp said its revenue had reached a pace equivalent to more than $1 billion per year by August 31, 2025. The announcement does not show that Ramp booked $1 billion of revenue in fiscal 2024 or in any other completed year.

What other figures put the milestone in context?

Ramp’s reported scale

Ramp’s announcement described a financial operations platform for businesses, including corporate cards and expense management, bill payments, procurement, travel booking, and treasury. The company profile also references vendor management and automated bookkeeping. The $100 billion figure is annualized purchase volume—the value of purchases processed at a projected annual pace—not Ramp’s revenue.

Sacra’s estimate of growth

Sacra estimated that Ramp reached a $1 billion annualized revenue run rate in August 2025, up 110% year over year from an estimated approximately $476 million in August 2024. These are Sacra’s estimates, not audited company results. Sacra attributed growth in part to customers adopting multiple products and to revenue sources that include card interchange, subscription software, bill-pay-related financing and fees, foreign exchange, travel affiliate fees, and interest on treasury deposits. Sacra’s Ramp analysis.

Financing valuation is a different measure

TechCrunch reported that Ramp raised $500 million in July 2025 at a $22.5 billion valuation, after a prior $16 billion valuation. That financing report concerns the value investors placed on the company, not its revenue. A valuation and an annualized revenue figure answer different questions; neither establishes a completed year’s recognized revenue.

What did Ramp say after the September announcement?

In a November 2025 company-authored post, CEO Eric Glyman wrote, “Our revenue was $500 million 12 months ago, over $1 billion today,” in connection with a $32 billion valuation. The post is a later company statement, not independent verification of Ramp’s revenue or a verified 2026 run rate.

How to read the evidence

  • Company statement: Ramp announced more than $1 billion in annualized revenue as of August 31, 2025.
  • Analyst estimate: Sacra estimated the run rate and year-over-year growth; its figures are not audited results.
  • Recognized annual revenue: The cited statements do not establish $1 billion in revenue recorded during a completed fiscal year.
  • Later claim: Glyman’s November 2025 post said revenue was over $1 billion at that time, but it does not independently verify a current 2026 figure.
