What did Rakul Preet Singh say about the IT raid reports?
Hindustan Times and The Indian Express reported that Singh responded on Instagram on 5 October 2026 after media coverage linked her to Income Tax searches. Hindustan Times reproduced her wording: “The search was not pertaining to me.” The outlet also reported that she criticized coverage she considered unverified and urged publications carrying what she called false, malicious and speculative reports to retract them and clarify the facts. Hindustan Times cited earlier reporting of searches at 12 locations and suspected fund irregularities. That location count and investigation angle are reported claims, not official findings established by the cited coverage.

Neither the retrieved Hindustan Times nor The Indian Express report provides an Income Tax Department statement confirming a search at Singh’s personal premises or naming her in an official account. The available reporting therefore does not resolve the official scope of the searches. It would be inaccurate to state as fact that Singh was raided.

In the statement reproduced by Hindustan Times and ANI via Khaleej Times, Singh made several claims and denials. They should be understood as her assertions; the cited reports do not independently verify her tax history, property ownership or the allegations she addressed.
