If the app is failing, first identify whether the problem is limited to one device, network or sign-in step; then work through the checks below.
Is Questrade down today?
Uptimus’s status page assessed community reports at 10:17 UTC on October 8, 2026, and found no unusual report activity. Uptimus is an independent monitor, not Questrade, so that snapshot cannot rule out a localized, account-specific or newly developing problem. Check Questrade’s official communications or support channels for a provider-confirmed incident; a community-report monitor is context, not confirmation. View Uptimus’s Questrade status page.
Questrade says service interruptions can result from internet-access problems, third-party provider outages, volatile market conditions or heavy trading demand. Those are possible causes, not a diagnosis of your particular issue. Questrade’s systems disclaimer describes these risks.
Identify which part is failing
Before changing settings, note what happens and where. An app that will not open is different from a rejected password or a login that stalls while waiting for multi-factor authentication (MFA). Check whether the same issue occurs on another device or network, and whether Questrade’s website works. This helps distinguish a device or connection problem from a broader access issue; it does not by itself prove that the service is up or down.

- App will not launch: check for the current app update and device-store compatibility.
- App opens, but credentials are rejected: verify you are using the official login page before entering account details.
- Login waits for Push Approval: check notification permissions or select another MFA method.
- App and website both fail across devices or networks: look for an official incident notice and contact Questrade if the problem continues.
Update the Questrade app
Questmobile was renamed the Questrade app starting July 29, 2026. Questrade says the app keeps the same login credentials and that version 2.0.0 is available in the Apple App Store and Google Play. If automatic updates are disabled, update the existing app through your device’s app store; after installation, it appears under the Questrade name. See Questrade’s app rename and update details.
Use the standard Questrade app listing rather than assuming Questrade Edge is the same app: Questrade describes Edge as a separate platform for active traders. The official Questrade pages show conflicting minimum operating-system requirements, so check the current App Store or Google Play listing for your device instead of relying on an older minimum-version claim. Verify the login page before entering credentials
Use Questrade’s official login URL: https://login.questrade.com/account/login. Check the spelling of the domain and that the connection uses HTTPS. If a login link looks suspicious, Questrade advises typing www.questrade.com directly into your browser rather than following a link from an email, text message or search result. Fix a missing Push Approval notification
If login is waiting for Push Approval, try these steps in order. Questrade says an approval request expires after three minutes; if it times out, restart the login attempt. Read Questrade’s Push Approval instructions.

- Check your device settings and allow notifications for the Questrade app.
- On the login screen, tap Resend notification.
- If the notification still does not arrive, choose Try another way and use an available SMS, voice-call or authenticator-app method.
- If the request expires, restart login and approve the new request promptly.
When to contact Questrade
If the app update, official-login check and available MFA options do not resolve the issue, use Questrade’s official support page for chat or phone options and check the current contact hours there. The page lists 1.888.298.4515 toll-free within Canada and 1.416.227.6615 from the U.S.; listed hours are Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–8 p.m. ET, and Saturday–Sunday, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. ET. Contact details and hours can change.
Never share your password with someone claiming to be support. Questrade says its employees will never ask for it. Do not post passwords, MFA codes or screenshots containing account details in comments or public forums.
