Quant Wins Clearing House Role as Remittix Reports PayFi App Testing

Quant’s Clearing House role concerns planned settlement infrastructure for financial institutions. Remittix’s reported PayFi test is a separate, less independently verified development.

Quant has been selected to provide technology for a planned institutional payments network from The Clearing House; it is not a retail crypto launch, and the network is not yet live. Separately, TechBullion reports that Remittix invited 1,000 existing RTX holders to test its PayFi app. The two developments involve different users and products, and no partnership between Quant and Remittix has been reported.

What Quant and The Clearing House announced

On September 24, 2026, The Clearing House said it selected Quant to power its On-Chain Money Initiative, a planned interoperable network for financial institutions to clear and settle transactions involving tokenized deposits. Quant’s role is the network’s interoperability, orchestration and transaction-management layer. The organizations say it is intended to connect with existing payment systems, including The Clearing House’s RTP and CHIPS networks. The Clearing House announcement and Quant’s announcement describe the selection.

The intended users are participating financial institutions, not individual crypto holders. The organizations cite corporate treasury, liquidity management, cross-border payments and digital-asset settlement as potential use cases. They also describe goals such as immediate settlement and payments that execute automatically when preset conditions are met. These are intended capabilities, not demonstrated results from an operating network.

What tokenized deposits mean here

The Clearing House defines a tokenized deposit as a digital representation of a deposit held at a financial institution. It remains a bank deposit subject to the protections and regulatory oversight of a traditional deposit, while being recorded and moved in a different way. The initiative does not, on the information announced, turn a bank deposit into an unbacked cryptocurrency or change which institution owes the customer the deposit. The Clearing House’s explanation describes the definition and the ability to move deposits according to rules set in advance.

Timing and Quant’s additional offering

The organizations expect the network to become available to participating institutions in the first half of 2027. That is a target window, not a guaranteed launch date; The Clearing House says details on participation and use cases will follow as development progresses. Quant also says it will offer US financial institutions that process through The Clearing House a bank-side Tokenized Deposits-as-a-Service solution if they do not yet have tokenized-deposit capability. Quant’s account of the arrangement is the source for that additional offering.

The Clearing House says its US-based networks clear and settle more than $2 trillion each day across wire, ACH, check image and real-time payments. That is the organization’s own reported network-scale figure, not an independently measured estimate. The Clearing House’s network information provides the figure.

What is reported about Remittix PayFi testing

A TechBullion article dated October 3, 2026, reports that 1,000 existing RTX holders were invited to test Remittix PayFi, starting with EUR and USD options. The article describes a proposed flow in which supported cryptocurrency is converted to fiat and sent through compatible banking routes. The available primary-source material does not independently confirm the test cohort, currencies or operational details, so these should be treated as claims reported by TechBullion—not proof of a public launch or verified banking coverage. TechBullion’s report is the source for these details.

Promotional token and adoption figures need context

The same article attributes several other claims to the project: more than 10,000 wallet downloads, more than $50 million in cumulative Markets volume, more than 40,000 presale participants, a planned RTX debut on November 24, and a $0.46 final presale stage. These are promotional, project-attributed figures in secondary reporting, not independently confirmed measurements or completed milestones. They do not establish token value, likely returns, or investment safety. TechBullion’s article reports the figures.

How the two developments differ

Aspect Quant and The Clearing House Remittix PayFi, as reported
Intended customer Participating financial institutions Individual users seeking crypto-to-fiat payouts
Described function Interoperability, clearing and settlement for tokenized bank deposits, with links to existing payment rails Conversion of supported crypto to fiat and payout through compatible banking routes
Reported stage Planned institutional availability in the first half of 2027; not a live network announcement TechBullion reports an invited test for 1,000 existing holders; primary confirmation was not established
Evidence basis Announcements from both The Clearing House and Quant Secondary reporting with promotional project figures

The projects are juxtaposed because both concern movement between digital money and conventional payment systems, but their audiences, functions and stages differ. The announcements do not report a commercial or technical relationship between Quant and Remittix.

What personal-finance readers should take from the news

  • Quant’s selection is a defined technology-provider role in a planned bank-focused initiative—not evidence that a payment network is already operating.
  • The Clearing House initiative concerns bank deposits represented in tokenized form, not a new retail cryptocurrency.
  • The first-half 2027 availability window is an expectation and could change as development proceeds.
  • Remittix’s testing and presale details should be understood as claims in a secondary article unless confirmed through reliable primary documentation.
  • Neither the reported user and volume figures nor a planned token date can establish whether RTX is suitable for an individual’s finances.
