How many London flights did Qatar Airways plan to cut?
The figures below are weekly flight frequencies in dated schedule filings reported by AeroRoutes. They are not daily round trips, passenger-capacity estimates, or proof that every planned flight was cancelled.

The Heathrow figures show successive changes in the filed plan for the same spring period: first 66 to 59 weekly, then 59 to 48 weekly. The February report’s London-specific update concerned Heathrow; it did not independently reconfirm the Gatwick figure. What did a later Heathrow filing show?
AeroRoutes’ July 17, 2026 comparison listed 56 Heathrow flights per week for the Northern winter 2026/27 schedule, down from 63. The report said most listed adjustments generally applied from October 25, 2026, through March 27, 2027. This is a later planned schedule, not evidence that a permanent cut was made or that the filed flights ultimately operated. It also does not establish that the spring change continued unchanged. Why were the flights reduced?
The cited schedule reports do not give a reason for the London frequency changes. They do not establish a connection to any particular event or cause, so attributing the reductions to one would go beyond the available reporting.
What should affected travelers do?
Because the spring travel dates are historical, the old filing figures cannot tell you whether a specific flight was changed or what options apply to your ticket. Check your booking and the current timetable directly with Qatar Airways; eligibility and remedies depend on the individual booking and the airline’s applicable terms.

Qatar News Agency reported that Qatar Airways’ March 26, 2026 guidance covered customers with confirmed bookings and travel dates from February 28 through June 15, 2026. The reported options were a complimentary date change to travel by October 31 on Qatar-operated flights, subject to availability and fare seasonality, or a refund of unused ticket value.
