The report also discussed Trump’s announcement of a Russian diesel supply arrangement and a U.S. Treasury general license temporarily waiving sanctions on Russian diesel. It said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy criticized the development, writing on social media: “Gifts to Putin will not bring peace or any benefit to the civilized world.” The wording is attributed to the report; the account does not establish that the diesel arrangement was part of Iran’s proposal or prompted Putin’s reported message.
