Purple Carrot is a recurring weekly plant-based meal delivery subscription, not a one-time order by default. You choose from a changing menu of meal kits, prepared meals and add-ons, manage upcoming orders in your account, and are billed weekly unless you skip, suspend or cancel. The key detail to watch is the cancellation cutoff: changes for a scheduled shipment must be completed before Tuesday at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time in the week before it ships.
How a Purple Carrot order works
- Choose a meal format and menu. Purple Carrot offers meal kits, ready-to-eat meals and add-ons. The menu changes by week, so dishes shown on its menu are examples, not guaranteed future selections.
- Create an account and manage upcoming orders. Use account settings to edit preferences, choose or customize upcoming meals, and skip a week. Purple Carrot describes these account options on its website and in its support information.
- Receive a weekly delivery. Depending on your selections, the box contains ingredients and recipes to cook or prepared food. Purple Carrot’s terms say deliveries are insulated and packed with cold packs; inspect the delivery and refrigerate perishables after it arrives.
- Check billing and the next order. The subscription continues with weekly charges until you skip, suspend or cancel it. Confirm the next order and its status in account settings rather than assuming a change has taken effect.
Meal kits, prepared meals and other menu items
Meal kits
Meal kits include ingredients and recipes for customers who want to cook. Preparation times vary by dish; check the current menu for the specific recipe and time estimate.
Ready-to-eat meals
Prepared meals require less cooking. One current example is Purple Carrot’s Jumpstart program, described as four days each of breakfast, lunch and dinner. The program page displays a price of $130 per week as of 2026; that figure applies to this specific program and may change, not to Purple Carrot plans generally.
Add-ons and grocery items
The company also promotes items such as protein add-ons, breakfasts, snacks, desserts and groceries. Availability can vary, so confirm that an item appears in the live menu before planning an order around it.

What Purple Carrot costs
The available official information does not establish a complete current standard price list, delivery fee, tax amount or address-specific checkout total. Check the live plan selection and checkout for the cost of your chosen meals and delivery destination before placing an order. A promotional price shown for a past campaign should not be treated as a current standard rate.
For context, the official Jumpstart page displays $130 per week for that four-week program as of 2026. Purple Carrot’s gift page displays gift amounts from $50 to $1,000; those are gift-card amounts, not subscription prices.

How to skip, pause or cancel
Purple Carrot’s terms describe meal plans as continuing subscriptions with weekly charges until canceled or suspended. The homepage says “Skip or cancel anytime,” but the cutoff in the terms matters for an order already approaching shipment.
- Sign in and open account settings to review the next scheduled order.
- Make any meal or schedule changes, skip the week, or complete cancellation before Tuesday at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time in the week before the scheduled shipment if you want the change to apply to that shipment.
- Check the account again to verify the upcoming order reflects the change. Under the terms, a change made after the cutoff takes effect the following week; processed or shipped purchases cannot be canceled.
Delivery and food handling
Purple Carrot says boxes are insulated and packed with cold packs that keep contents stable and temperature-safe for several hours. That is the company’s packaging statement, not an independent food-safety guarantee. Its terms place responsibility on customers to inspect deliveries and store perishables properly, and point to USDA food-storage and safe-handling guidance. Follow the storage directions for each item and do not use food that appears compromised.
Dietary preferences and allergen checks
Purple Carrot markets plant-based meals and highlights options such as high-protein and gluten-free. These menu labels do not establish that every meal is suitable for an allergy, intolerance or medical diet. Review the current ingredients and allergen information for each meal before ordering.
