The deadline to apply for Punjab & Sind Bank’s 2025 recruitment of 190 Specialist Officers was 10 October 2025. That cycle is closed; the 2025 application form is no longer available under the notice. The recruitment was for regular MMGS II posts: 130 Credit Managers and 60 Agriculture Managers. For later notices, interview lists or results, check the bank’s official recruitment page.
What was the last date to apply?
Punjab & Sind Bank’s notification set 19 September 2025 as the online application opening date and 10 October 2025 as the final date for submitting an application, modifying it or paying the fee. The date has passed, so candidates cannot apply under this recruitment notice.
The notice described the vacancy totals as provisional and subject to the bank’s actual requirements. It advised candidates: “Before applying, candidates are advised to ensure that they fulfill the stipulated eligibility criteria.”
How were the 190 posts divided?
| Post | Provisional vacancies | Main qualification route | Minimum relevant experience |
|---|---|---|---|
| Credit Manager, MMGS II | 130 | Graduation with 60% aggregate (55% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates), or CA, CMA, CFA or MBA Finance | Three years after the qualifying degree or credential in branch management, credit appraisal or processing at a scheduled commercial bank |
| Agriculture Manager, MMGS II | 60 | Bachelor’s degree with 60% aggregate (55% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates) in an agriculture or allied field specified in the notification | Three years of relevant post-qualification experience as an officer at a scheduled commercial bank |
The Credit Manager listing had more vacancies, but the count alone does not indicate an applicant’s chance of selection: vacancies were provisional, and shortlisting depended on the bank’s criteria.

Who was eligible?
Age limit
For MMGS II, candidates had to be 23 to 35 years old as of 1 September 2025. The notification gave the birth-date window as 2 September 1990 through 1 September 2002, inclusive. It listed upper-age relaxations including five years for SC/ST candidates, three years for OBC non-creamy-layer candidates and ten years for persons with benchmark disabilities. Other categories, conditions and required proof are set out in the bank’s notification.
Experience and role fit
The required experience had to be post-qualification and relevant to the role, and the eligibility cutoff was 10 October 2025. Applicants were required to submit experience certificates with the application. The notification also made candidates removed or terminated by a previous employer ineligible.
Rank #2
- Credit Manager: relevant work included credit operations, credit appraisal or processing, branch management, customer relationship management, acquisition, sales or business development, and branch operations.
- Agriculture Manager: relevant work included agriculture finance, government agriculture schemes, customer relationship management and branch operations.
Because the two posts use different qualification routes and experience areas, meeting the grade’s age and service thresholds alone would not establish eligibility for both.
What selection process and service terms did the notice specify?
Selection stages and written test
The stated selection process included a written test, screening, personal interview and final merit list. The bank reserved discretion to waive the written test. If held, the test was structured as follows:

| English Language | 20 | 15 minutes |
| General Awareness | 20 | 30 minutes |
| Professional Knowledge | 60 | 60 minutes |

The notification set minimum section qualifying percentages at 40% for Unreserved and EWS candidates and 35% for reserved-category candidates, subject to criteria set by the bank. Written-test and interview scores contributed to final scoring; shortlisting and qualifying standards remained subject to the bank’s stated discretion.
Pay, probation and other conditions
The MMGS II pay scale in the notice was ₹64,820–₹93,960. This is a scale, not a take-home salary; allowances and benefits depend on applicable rules and posting. The notice set a one-year probation and a two-year service bond, with the bond amount calculated as three months’ gross salary under its formula. It also required a minimum CIBIL score of 650 at joining.

Where can candidates check later recruitment updates?
The bank’s recruitment page is the authoritative place to check later advertisements, interview eligibility lists, call letters and results. It currently lists subsequent recruitment items, including Credit Manager interview eligibility and a Credit Manager result; the page is dynamic, so consult it directly for the latest status rather than treating the 2025 notice as open.
