Can you still register for the Peon recruitment?
No. The High Court’s Employment Notice No. 01/Peon/HC/2024 was dated 25 August 2024. Online registration opened that day and closed at 11:59 p.m. on 20 September 2024. The old application instructions describe that completed process; they are not a route to apply now. Check the High Court’s official website for later recruitment notices and updates.
The notice advertised 300 posts. A later official results listing identifies a final result for 235 Peon posts dated 6 June 2026. Those are figures from different official entries; the available materials do not explain why they differ. The result entry is the latest official status established here, and later appointment or joining updates have not been verified.
What were the 2024 eligibility rules?
These rules applied to the 2024 recruitment and were assessed against its 20 September 2024 deadline. They should not be treated as current eligibility criteria for any future opening.

- Age: 18 to 35 years as of 20 September 2024, with relaxations for specified candidates under the notice.
- Education: At least Middle Standard and no more than 10+2 from a recognized school or school education board. The notice said candidates with qualifications above 10+2 were ineligible for direct recruitment.
- Vacancies: The notice advertised 300 posts. Its category details included 243 General, 30 SC/ST/BC and 15 ex-servicemen vacancies, as well as reservations for candidates with specified disabilities. The available notice text does not clearly preserve all disability subcategory figures, so a complete category breakdown cannot be stated reliably.
What was the application fee?
The notice required a non-refundable online payment. Fees depended on category and location:
- ₹700 for General candidates and SC/ST/BC candidates from outside Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh.
- ₹600 for SC/ST/BC candidates from Punjab, Haryana or Chandigarh, ex-servicemen, and persons with disabilities.
- The notice provided an exemption for specified dependents of ex-servicemen disabled or deceased during active operation, subject to documentary proof.
How did the original registration process work?
The following is a historical account of the 2024 process, not instructions for an open application. The notice directed applicants to register online during the stated window and pay the applicable fee online. Before filling the form, candidates were told to prepare personal details, an active email address and mobile number, and online payment access.

- Complete the online form: Enter the required particulars and category carefully. The notice stated: “All particulars including category once filled by the candidates shall be sacrosanct and no change shall be permitted at any stage of the recruitment process.”
- Pay the applicable fee: Submit the non-refundable payment online, unless eligible for the stated exemption.
- Keep records: Retain a hard copy of the submitted form and supporting documents for testimonial checking.
What was the selection process?
The notice described a written test followed by a qualifying physical endurance test for shortlisted candidates. The written examination took place in August 2025, according to the High Court’s official recruitment updates.

That entry does not establish whether later appointment or joining notices were issued.
