The PS5 discounts in the post-Christmas roundup were reported on December 26, 2025—not verified as available today. HotHardware listed two Fortnite Flowering Chaos bundles at prices it described as $100 off: a 1TB PS5 with a disc drive for $449.99 and an 825GB Digital Edition for $399.99. Those figures are historical; check current retailer listings before budgeting for either console.
What the post-Christmas PS5 deals included
HotHardware’s December 26, 2025 roundup reported these Best Buy prices and savings:
| Bundle | Reported price | Reported discount | What differs |
|---|---|---|---|
| PS5 Fortnite Flowering Chaos bundle, 1TB | $449.99 | $100 off | Includes a Blu-ray disc drive and more storage than the Digital Edition. |
| PS5 Digital Edition Fortnite Flowering Chaos bundle, 825GB | $399.99 | $100 off | Digital-only; no disc drive. |
Sony’s Black Friday 2025 announcement independently listed recommended prices of $449.99 and $399.99 for those respective bundle configurations. That confirms Sony’s advertised recommended pricing, not that Best Buy’s post-Christmas discounts were still available later. Sony also cautioned that promotions vary by region and retailer and that actual prices and availability may vary.
Which PS5 bundle was the better value?
The $50 difference between the prices reported in December 2025 bought a disc drive and 175GB more stated storage in the 1TB model. The disc-drive version may suit someone who wants to play physical games or use compatible disc media; the digital model is for buyers content with digital purchases. The better choice depends on whether those features justify the price difference for you, not on the discount label alone.

The December 2025 offers cannot establish what is available in October 2026. Console pricing has since changed: GamesRadar+’s October 2026 roundup reports US prices effective April 2, 2026, of $649.99 for the PS5 Slim with disc drive, $599.99 for the digital model, and $899.99 for PS5 Pro. These figures provide market context, not a quote for a particular seller or bundle; verify the live listing before purchase.

- Confirm that any claimed savings compare against a price you consider relevant, and check shipping, taxes, and return terms before committing.
Post-holiday digital sales are a separate category from console discounts. For example, Tom’s Guide reported a PlayStation Store Holiday Sale that ran through January 21, 2026; that sale has ended and is not a current offer.
