There is no confirmed US-wide source of new PS5 Pro consoles as of September 30, 2026. Best Buy’s location-specific page showed the $899.99 PlayStation 5 Pro 2TB (disc-free) unavailable at the selected store. A September 17 roundup also listed Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, Target and PlayStation Direct as out of stock for new consoles, while GameStop had limited pre-owned units that varied by location. Inventory changes quickly, so enter your ZIP code and verify the final checkout page before paying or traveling.
What each major retailer is showing
| Retailer | Latest evidence | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Best Buy | Product page opened September 30 showed unavailable at the selected location; listed price was $899.99. | Availability is store and ZIP-code specific. The console is disc-free, and the vertical stand is sold separately. |
| Amazon | Reported out of stock for new consoles in a roundup updated September 17. | Marketplace sellers may still appear; compare condition, seller, delivery date, warranty and total checkout price. |
| Walmart | Reported out of stock for new consoles on September 17. | Check whether a listing is sold by Walmart or a third-party marketplace seller. |
| Target | Reported out of stock in the September 17 roundup; a tracker had paused Target tracking. | Do not treat a paused tracker as proof of current availability. Check the product page and checkout directly. |
| PlayStation Direct | The US product page was active, but no readable current stock state or restock date was shown. | Sign in, enter your address and proceed through checkout to determine whether an order can actually be placed. |
| GameStop | The September 17 report found limited pre-owned inventory that varied by location. | Availability, condition and warranty can differ by store. Confirm whether the unit is used, refurbished or open-box. |
A retailer tracker also surfaced a Best Buy offer at a high price while showing no stock for PlayStation Direct, Walmart, Amazon and GameStop; its timestamps were unclear and Target tracking was paused. Treat that snapshot as a lead to verify, not as proof of stock.

How to check PS5 Pro stock without wasting a trip
- Open the retailer’s official PS5 Pro listing and select the 2TB console, not an accessory or bundle.
- Enter your ZIP code or choose a specific store. Pickup and shipping results can differ by location.
- Check the condition, seller, delivery date, return window and warranty before adding the console to your cart.
- Continue to the final checkout screen. A unit is not secured merely because a product page or search result says “available.”
- Recheck immediately before leaving for a store; inventory can disappear between cart, payment and pickup.
How to judge an offer
New versus pre-owned or refurbished
A new console should be factory-sealed and covered by the retailer’s stated warranty. Pre-owned, refurbished and open-box units may be cheaper or available sooner, but inspect the exact condition, included accessories, return period and warranty issuer.
Retailer inventory versus marketplace listings
When direct stock is gone, marketplace listings can remain. Compare the seller’s identity and feedback, dispatch and delivery dates, return terms, warranty coverage and the complete price after shipping and tax. A marketplace price is not the standard retail price.

Price reference
Best Buy’s 2026 listing gives a useful reference of $899.99 for the PS5 Pro 2TB console. That is one retailer’s listed price, not a market-wide cap; a higher marketplace price may reflect scarcity, shipping or seller markup.
What comes with the console—and what does not
- The PS5 Pro listing describes a disc-free console, so physical-game owners should verify the price and compatibility of a separate disc drive.
- Best Buy says the vertical stand is sold separately. It is optional, not required to use the console.
- Before purchasing a bundle, confirm that every advertised accessory is included and that the seller—not merely the platform—handles returns.
Do Japan lottery reports apply to US buyers?
No. A recent Japan report described a separate lottery response to shortages, with Japan-specific eligibility rules and dates. It does not establish US retailer stock, US ordering rights or a US restock schedule.

- Model Number CFI-2000
- Includes DualSense Wireless Controller, 1TB SSD, 2 Horizontal Stand Feet, HDMI Cable, AC power cord, USB cable, printed materials, ASTRO’s PLAYROOM (Pre-installed game)
- Vertical Stand sold seperately
When will US stock return?
No confirmed US restock date was established. The September 17 cross-retailer report is already dated, and tracker timestamps may lag actual inventory. The most current direct check cited here is Best Buy’s location-specific page opened September 30, which showed no availability at the selected location. Recheck official retailer pages and checkout status when you are ready to buy.
