Sony confirmed Black Friday discounts on PS5, PS5 Digital Edition and PS5 Pro consoles for 2025, but the offers varied by region and retailer. Sony has not confirmed a 2026 Black Friday promotion in the announcements cited here, so treat the 2025 discounts as historical—not as a forecast or a current deal.
What Sony confirmed for Black Friday 2025
Sony’s English-language announcement, dated November 18, 2025, said the promotion would begin November 21 and run for a limited time. It listed $100 USD off PS5 consoles in select regions, $100 USD off PS5 Digital Edition consoles and $100 USD off PS5 Pro consoles. The announcement did not give a single end date for all markets; participating offers and availability depended on region and retailer. Sony’s 2025 Black Friday announcement.

German offers were different
Sony’s German-language announcement listed savings of €100 on PS5 consoles, €150 on PS5 Digital Edition consoles and €100 on PS5 Pro consoles. It named MediaMarkt, Saturn, Amazon, Otto, Müller and Expert among participating German retailers, while noting that offers could vary by region and retailer. Those were terms of the 2025 promotion, not current prices.
Are PS5 Black Friday discounts confirmed for 2026?
No. Sony’s 2025 announcement confirms only the 2025 promotion; it does not establish that the same discount, timing or participating regions will apply in 2026. Until Sony or a retailer publishes current terms, any claimed 2026 discount is unconfirmed.

To calculate a deal, compare the retailer’s current price in your market with the applicable recommended price, then check what the offer includes. Confirm whether it is the standard PS5, Digital Edition or Pro; whether a disc drive or bundle is included; and whether the advertised saving is a direct discount rather than a separate offer. Use the price at checkout, since regional pricing and retailer terms may vary.

What the PS5 Pro adds
Sony’s November 2024 product announcement describes PS5 Pro as having a 2TB solid-state drive and a DualSense wireless controller in the box. Sony also claimed 67% more compute units than the then-current PS5, 28% faster memory and up to 45% faster rendering, alongside advanced ray tracing and PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution. These are manufacturer-stated specifications, not independent benchmark results. Sony says Pro features are available only in selected enhanced PS5 games and vary by game. Details are in Sony’s PS5 Pro announcement.
