ProbablyMonsters announced Hidden Grove, a new internal development team, and appointed Adam Rymer chief product officer on April 9, 2024. Hidden Grove was described as making an original competitive multiplayer adventure game in Unreal Engine 5; the company did not announce the game’s title, platforms, or release date.

In its April 9, 2024 announcement, ProbablyMonsters introduced Hidden Grove as one of its development teams and said it was working on an original multiplayer competitive adventure game using Unreal Engine 5.
The announcement did not identify a title, target platforms, release date, or detailed gameplay. GamesBeat reported that the project was being kept under wraps. The available descriptions do not establish specific game modes, a live-service model, or monetization plans.

ProbablyMonsters named Chris Opdahl general manager. Its announcement also identified these team leaders:

The company said the team’s experience included work on Halo, Destiny, Mass Effect, and Dungeons & Dragons. The same release cited Opdahl’s more than 20 years as a game developer, his management of a 50-designer team on Destiny 2, and his leadership of a multidisciplinary team of more than 150 at Bungie. Those are company-published career figures, not independently audited statistics.
What Adam Rymer’s CPO role covers
ProbablyMonsters said Rymer would lead all of its development teams and report directly to founder and CEO Harold Ryan. The company described the role as providing guidance and advice to create opportunities for teams developing original interactive experiences.

Rymer’s stated background included Legendary Digital Networks, Universal Pictures, and OpTic Gaming. The announcement described his career in media and entertainment as spanning 25 years; that figure is the company’s characterization.
Rymer said the company’s idea of product included not only its games but also “the design of the teams themselves.” Ryan told GamesBeat that the company wanted development leaders and teams to feel excited about and believe in the games they were making. These statements explain the company’s stated approach; they do not provide details about Hidden Grove’s production schedule or the CPO role’s day-to-day decisions.

ProbablyMonsters also described other teams, incubation work, and unannounced projects. It said Battle Barge was developing a next-generation cooperative RPG. These are descriptions from the April 2024 release, not confirmation of current project status.
