What happened in the Printful and Printify merger?
The companies announced the merger as an equal-partner combination. Printful described both businesses as technology platforms serving ecommerce sellers through on-demand production. Their stated rationale was to combine complementary capabilities, broaden product selection and geographic reach, and improve fulfillment. Those were strategic aims, not evidence of results after the merger.
In the announcement, Printful characterized its own contribution as in-house production facilities and described Printify as having a network of more than 85 third-party production partners. Printful also said the combined businesses served “hundreds of thousands” of clients, without giving a more precise count. Printful CEO Alex Saltonstall described the rationale as a “natural fit” and said the companies’ businesses were complementary. That is the company’s explanation for the deal, rather than an independent assessment of its expected benefits.

When did the Printful and Printify merger close?
Printful announced on November 20, 2024, that the transaction had completed following regulatory approval and shareholder support. It said integration work would begin that day. The announcement establishes the deal’s completion at that time; it does not establish how integration has progressed since. Printful’s November 20, 2024 completion announcement
Will Printful and Printify remain separate?
At completion, the companies said the Printful and Printify platforms would continue as separate brands under a holding company. They said the holding company’s name was still being developed. That describes the arrangement announced in November 2024; the announcements do not confirm current brand, ownership or holding-company arrangements.

Were the Printful and Printify merger terms disclosed?
No financial terms were disclosed in the companies’ announcement. TechCrunch reported that a company spokesperson said there would be some changes to teams in overlapping areas, but did not specify their scale. The announced combination paired Printful’s in-house production facilities with Printify’s network of third-party production partners. In principle, those different production models could support broader product and geographic coverage or more fulfillment options—the goals the companies described. The merger announcement does not provide a current, seller-ready comparison of the services, establish changes to either platform’s terms, or demonstrate that fulfillment improved after closing.

Sellers evaluating print-on-demand fulfillment should therefore compare the current product catalog, production locations, shipping options, pricing and service terms directly on each platform. The 2024 merger rationale alone is not enough to determine which service best fits a particular store.
