Prime Security announced a $20 million Series A on December 9, 2025, led by Scale Venture Partners. The company said it would use the funding to expand go-to-market efforts and develop its Agentic Product Security Platform, which aims to review software designs for security risks before engineering teams build them.

What Prime Security announced

Prime’s December 9, 2025 announcement named Scale Venture Partners as the lead investor and Foundation Capital, Flybridge Ventures, and Ofir Ehrlich, CEO and founder of Eon, as participants. Prime said the proceeds would support go-to-market expansion and product development. Independent coverage by Ctech reported that the round brought Prime’s total funding to $26 million.

What an Agentic Security Architect is meant to do

Prime positions its Agentic Security Architect as software that autonomously conducts security design reviews and identifies flaws in planned engineering work. The idea is to assess architecture and design decisions early, when teams can still adjust them, rather than relying only on checks after code has been written.

The company’s stated rationale is that security teams cannot manually review every planned engineering change quickly enough, particularly as AI-assisted coding increases development velocity. Prime says its system can identify risks and recommend or guide mitigations. These are product claims and positioning, not independently established results.

Prime’s current website describes a broader platform that also includes AI security code reviews, coding guardrails for agents, supply-chain security, and continuous white-box penetration testing. The site presents a vision of connecting architecture, code, and cloud context to find exploitable attack paths. Those broader capabilities should be distinguished from the narrower design-review focus of the December 2025 funding announcement.

Who led the round, and what is known about the company?

Scale Venture Partners led the Series A. Prime says it was founded in 2023 and is headquartered in New York, with offices in Tel Aviv. Its current about page lists Michael Nov as CEO, Dimitry Shvartsman as CPO, Danny Hanga as CTO, and Matan Markovics as VP of R&D.

Ctech reported that Nov previously led corporate development at OwnBackup; Hanga and Markovics held cyber-development and data-product roles there; and Shvartsman led cyber strategy at PayPal. Michael Nov described the company’s intent as starting security work at the design phase rather than waiting until after development in a founder post.

What Prime says about customers and results

Prime’s announcement names PayPal, Qualtrics, Bumble, ThoughtSpot, and Redis Labs as customers. The company also said its customers’ development teams had more than 200 engineers and reported the following outcomes:

Company-reported measure Prime’s claim
Resolution of design-stage risks Up to 30 times faster
Planned work assessed 100%, compared with 10–15% under manual reviews
Time and cost spent on security reviews 50% lower

These figures come from Prime’s December 9, 2025 announcement; the cited sources do not independently validate them. The same announcement quotes PayPal CISO Shaun Khalfan saying Prime’s design-stage reviews provide continuous, adaptive visibility and help identify risks earlier. That endorsement is also company-published.

What the funding means—and what it does not establish

The announcement indicates that Prime is investing in sales activity and continued platform development. It does not, by itself, establish how widely the product is deployed, whether the reported efficiency gains generalize across customers, or how Prime performs relative to competitors. The reviewed sources do not provide a named competitor comparison or regulator or standards-body findings on product outcomes.

For enterprise buyers evaluating tools in this category, useful questions include when checks occur in the development lifecycle, whether they examine designs as well as code and cloud context, how they fit existing engineering workflows, and what evidence supports claims about coverage and time savings. The available reporting supports describing Prime’s intended approach, but not ranking its performance against alternatives.
