It was a limited-time Prime Day offer, not a deal readers can claim now. The promotion provided access to Kindle Unlimited’s digital reading and listening catalog; a Kindle e-reader was optional because Amazon also supported reading through its free Kindle app.
What the Prime Day 2025 offer included
Amazon advertised three months of Kindle Unlimited at no charge for eligible Prime members through July 11, 2025. The Prime Day event ran July 8–11, a 96-hour promotion. The offer is now expired.
Amazon described Kindle Unlimited as a paid monthly subscription offering more than five million digital books, plus thousands of audiobooks, comics, manga, and magazines. Subscribers could borrow up to 20 digital books, audiobooks, or comics at a time. These details and the offer dates were published by Amazon in 2025; the article did not provide all account-specific eligibility or post-trial terms. How readers could access Kindle Unlimited
A Kindle e-reader was not required. Amazon said members could use Kindle devices or the free Kindle app on smartphones, tablets, and computers.

The choice was about reading preference, not separate access to the trial; Amazon listed both device and app routes.
What happened after the free period
Amazon’s 2025 article said the subscription would continue unless the member canceled, and identified the cancellation route as the “Your Kindle Unlimited Account” page. The offer article did not spell out every account-specific term, so anyone who enrolled would have needed to check the terms shown for their account and cancel before a paid renewal if they did not want to continue.
