Precision Planting’s Panorama is more than a map viewer. It is a browser and mobile farm-data platform for importing, viewing, analyzing, reporting on, planning with, and sharing agronomic data. The current listed price is $500 per year, although buyers should confirm regional availability, taxes, dealer terms, and any current promotions.
Panorama is most valuable to farms already using a Gen 3 20|20 monitor, but a 20|20 is not required for every workflow. Panorama can also accept supported files from systems including John Deere Operations Center, Fendt, and Case IH monitors.

From a 2023 announcement to a broader data platform
Precision Planting introduced Panorama at its 2023 Winter Conference and tested the product in beta during spring 2023. The company announced commercial availability to North American growers at its 2024 event. The original launch focused on making 20|20 data more portable; the current product has a wider role that includes planning, reporting, scouting, platform connections, and remote support.
That distinction matters. The launch announcement should not be treated as a complete description of today’s feature set. Current capabilities and supported connections should be checked on Precision Planting’s Panorama product page.
#1 Best Overall

What Panorama does
Maps, comparisons, and analysis
Panorama can display row-by-row maps and field-average reports, compare planting and harvest information, and show field, pass, and row summaries. It also supports split-screen comparisons, histograms, and statistics based on a lasso selection. The interface is intended to provide views that correspond closely with data available on a 20|20 display.
That makes it useful for reviewing information away from the cab. A farm manager can examine planting populations, compare map layers, or review field performance from a computer, tablet, or phone rather than relying solely on the in-cab monitor.
Reports
Precision Planting lists three report categories:
- Input reports
- Condensed reports
- Agronomic reports
Reports can cover a crop season or be narrowed by client, farm, and field. Precision Planting explains the report options in its Panorama Reports 101 guide.
Planning and prescriptions
Panorama can create or modify client, farm, and field records, assign existing boundaries, and auto-create boundaries from available map layers. It can also create prescriptions from existing map layers and prepare files for later use in 20|20 displays.
“Auto-create” does not mean the software independently determines the correct agronomic decision. Prescription quality still depends on the source maps, field conditions, crop requirements, application strategy, and equipment compatibility. Agronomists and farm managers remain responsible for validating rates and operational decisions.
Mobile scouting
The mobile app can use a phone or tablet camera to capture field photographs, attach notes, and geo-tag observations. Listed scouting uses include emergence, insect, weed, and disease observations. This requires a camera-equipped mobile device.

How data gets into Panorama
Connected Gen 3 20|20 workflow
- Create or activate a Panorama account.
- Pair the Gen 3 20|20 with Panorama.
- Provide a Wi-Fi or cellular connection.
- Allow data from the active field to upload during work.
- Use the 20|20 settings’ export page to upload inactive fields or check upload progress.
With a reliable connection, this is the most integrated workflow. It can provide automatic sharing, live data, diagnostics, and supported remote capabilities.
Manual and third-party workflow
- Export data from the source display or platform.
- Confirm that the file type and display model are supported.
- Upload the file to Panorama.
- Check client, farm, field, crop, naming, and map information.
- Use the imported data for analysis, reports, planning, or onward transfer.
Manual uploads can introduce wrong field assignments, duplicate maps, missing metadata, incompatible files, incomplete histories, and delays. A farm migrating a large archive should establish a consistent client-farm-field naming convention and a clear source of truth before importing everything.
Supported systems and the interoperability question
Precision Planting’s current materials identify imports from Gen 2 20|20 SeedSense, historical or current Gen 3 20|20 data, John Deere Operations Center shapefiles, and ISOXML exports from Fendt and Case IH monitors. Additional ISOXML-compatible sources listed by Precision Planting include Pro1200 Case IH, Fendt, Gleaner, Raven, and others.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
The current Panorama page lists connections with:
- John Deere Operations Center
- Climate FieldView
- Corteva Agriscience
- TotalAcre
- PCT Agcloud
- FarmENGAGE
- Radicle Agronomics
The distinction between an upload and a live connection is important. A supported file import is not necessarily an automated, ongoing data exchange. An API connection may support only certain data classes, directions, permissions, or timing. A platform appearing on the connection list does not guarantee that every display model, crop, file type, or map layer will work identically.

- Complete Tractor Guidance System: Includes stable software to guide tractor along AB lines, featuring a 7 inch waterproof navigator display with high-precision GNSS Board, high precision GNSS GPS Antenna, and all necessary accessories cables and tools
- Smart GNSS Guidance & AB Line Planning: Generates straight AB lines or curve paths based on your field boundary and working width, records driving tracks and provides real-time deviation alerts to keep passes straight at night or in low visibility conditions
- Multi-Frequency Positioning (L1L5): Large 7 inch screen displays guidance lines, field boundaries, and tractor position in real time. The L1L5 multi-frequency module delivers higher accuracy and more stable signals than single-frequency GPS, keeping every pass on track even near trees or buildings. The device needs to be connected to either a cell phone hotspot or a personal mobile network
- Wide Application Compatibility: Tractor GPS navigation system can be widely used for sowing, cultivating, trenching, ridging, spraying pesticide, transplanting, land consolidation, harvesting and other work scenes. Suitable for John Deere, Case IH, New Holland, Massey Ferguson, Fendt, Kubota, and most tractors. Suction-cup tablet bracket mounts on cab window with no drilling required. Swap between machines in approximately 3 minutes
- Google Maps & 48 Languages: Built on Google Maps for use in most regions worldwide, suitable for international farms or contractors. 48 language options let operators work in their native language, reducing training time and errors
Climate FieldView was identified as an early API partner, while John Deere Operations Center was added later. Panorama therefore may function as a bridge or complementary layer rather than a replacement for every farm-management platform.
Is a 20|20 monitor required?
No, not for all uses. Precision Planting says Panorama can accept manually uploaded data from several supported sources, including Gen 2 20|20 SeedSense, John Deere Operations Center, and Fendt and Case IH monitors.
A Gen 3 20|20 provides the deeper integration: automatic synchronization when connected, live information, diagnostics, remote display monitoring, dealer support, and supported LiveStream functions. Gen 2 data may be usable through manual upload, but it should not be assumed to provide the same automatic and remote experience.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsHardware and connectivity requirements
Panorama is available through a web browser and mobile apps for iOS and Android. A camera-equipped phone or tablet is needed for mobile scouting.
The integrated in-cab experience requires a Gen 3 20|20. Wi-Fi or cellular service is needed for automatic synchronization. Internet access is not necessarily required during field operations if data will be uploaded later, but stable connectivity is important for LiveStream, remote monitoring, and other real-time functions.
Precision Planting promotes a Starlink Mini Connectivity Bundle for operations where weak cellular coverage limits LiveStream. The available product information does not establish a current price, so connectivity hardware should be treated as an additional purchase to verify with Precision Planting or a dealer.

Price and account access
Precision Planting’s current FAQ lists Panorama at $500 per year. The plan is purchased through a Precision Planting Premier Dealer or the Panorama purchase flow. Precision Planting also says users can create a demo account before adding personal data.
Free tools Windows power users keep installed
One-click scans. No signup required.
Joining another operation by invitation does not require a separate charge, and Precision Planting says there is no stated limit on the number of operations a user can join. Account permissions and invitations still determine what another user can see or access.
The $500 figure should be treated as the listed annual plan price, not a guaranteed all-in cost. Confirm final regional availability, taxes, dealer terms, promotions, hardware, connectivity, data-conversion help, and third-party subscriptions before purchasing.
Harvest data: what Panorama does not provide by itself
Panorama can display and compare harvest information when compatible harvest data is available. It does not create yield maps simply because a farm subscribes to the app.
Precision Planting says YieldSight can send compatible OEM harvest data from Ideal and Gleaner combines to the 20|20 and Panorama. YieldSense supports harvest data for relevant crops and systems. Farms must verify that their combine, display, crop, and monitoring setup are compatible.
Listed crop coverage
Precision Planting lists Panorama for canola, corn, cotton, edible beans, peanuts, small grains, soybeans, sugarbeets, and sunflowers. That list does not establish that every feature, report, crop workflow, or connected platform behaves identically for every crop.

Who should consider Panorama?
Panorama is a stronger candidate when:
- The farm already operates Gen 3 20|20 monitors.
- Owners, operators, agronomists, and dealers need shared access.
- The operation wants to review 20|20 information outside the cab.
- Planting, application, and harvest layers need to be compared.
- Remote diagnostics or dealer support could save time.
- The farm uses one of Panorama’s listed data platforms.
- Historical map data can support boundary or prescription planning.
It may be a weaker fit when:
- The farm has no compatible Precision Planting equipment or supported files.
- An existing platform already handles mapping, reporting, scouting, and prescriptions adequately.
- Connectivity is poor and the operation does not want additional connectivity hardware.
- The farm expects the subscription to produce yield data without compatible harvest-monitoring equipment.
- Most data comes from unsupported displays or proprietary formats.
- No one has time to maintain clean client, farm, field, crop, and machine records.
- The annual fee is difficult to justify for the amount of data actually analyzed.
Practical decision framework
Use Panorama as the primary analysis tool if the operation already relies heavily on Gen 3 20|20 data and wants one place for maps, reports, planning, scouting, and remote support.
Use it as an export and import bridge if another platform remains the farm’s main record system but 20|20 data needs to move between systems.
Use it as an additional analysis layer if an existing platform is satisfactory but Panorama’s reports, row-level views, planning features, or dealer support add value worth the annual fee.
Before subscribing, verify the exact display models, export formats, field identifiers, desired data direction, harvest-data source, connectivity, and user permissions. Import a small sample before moving an entire historical archive.
Bottom line
Panorama has evolved from a 2023 data-portability announcement into a broader farm-data platform. Its practical value is greatest for farms that want to connect in-cab 20|20 information with outside-the-cab analysis, planning, reporting, scouting, and supported farm platforms.
The $500 annual plan may be easier to justify for Gen 3 20|20 users with multiple stakeholders or a need for remote support. Farms without compatible data, reliable connectivity, or a clear use for another data platform should evaluate the subscription more carefully. Panorama is best understood as a connected data and planning layer—not a universal replacement for every farm-management system and not a substitute for agronomic judgment.
