PerthNow reported that a Western Australian ticket was one of seven division-two winners in Powerball draw 1498, each receiving $86,344.85. The $60 million jackpot applied to the next draw, not this ticket.

A Western Australian ticket holder reportedly won $86,344.85 in Powerball division two in draw 1498 on 30 January 2025, according to PerthNow. The ticket was one of seven division-two winners. The $60 million figure in the headline was the jackpot for the next draw after no one won division one; it was not the WA ticket’s prize.

How much did the West Australian win?

PerthNow reported that the Western Australian ticket holder received $86,344.85, matching the seven main numbers but not the Powerball. The report said there were seven division-two winners in total, each paid the same amount. The draw-specific prize and winner count are attributed to PerthNow; the official rules explain the prize tier but do not independently confirm those figures.

What were the winning numbers in draw 1498?

PerthNow listed the seven main numbers as 19, 12, 2, 18, 13, 1 and 23, with Powerball 4. Check the ticket against the result for the correct draw, not just the numbers: lottery results and prize amounts apply to specific draws.

What does division two mean in Powerball?

Under The Lott’s Powerball rules, division two requires matching all seven winning numbers drawn from the first barrel, without matching the Powerball. Division one requires those same seven numbers plus the Powerball. Lotterywest’s explanation describes division two in the same way.

Why did the jackpot reach $60 million?

There was no division-one winner in draw 1498, PerthNow reported, so the jackpot for the following week was set at $60 million. That jackpot was a separate prize pool for the next draw; it did not change the division-two prize reported for the WA ticket.

The same $60 million figure has appeared in reporting about a different draw since then. A Mirage News report dated 1 October 2026 said the jackpot had reached $60 million for draw 1586 after draw 1585 produced no division-one winner. That later report is unrelated to draw 1498 and its WA division-two winner: Mirage News’ draw 1585 report.

How to check a Powerball ticket

Use the draw date or number and the lottery operator that applies to the ticket. The Lott says players can look up historical results by date or draw number and check tickets through its website, app or a retailer. Its help pages explain how to find historical results and how to check a ticket on The Lott website. Lotterywest provides the relevant channels for Western Australian players; check its official service for a WA ticket.

Lotterywest has also advised players to spend only what they can afford. Picking particular numbers does not improve the odds of winning.
